I'm not really expecting to see more than one of these guys crack the line-up, it's other positions the Lions need to beef up. WR is not a problem position for the Lions.

No kidding, especially if they get Lawler.

Don’t know anything about these guys but Montay Crockett and Sean Modster could start on the CFL all name team. Also wondering if Simon is Geroy’s son.

I always wondered about these contracts at this point....what if you find better Import WRs during camp, can you just let these other guys go?
If so, what value is a contract to those with little experience right now?

Often not a lot I would think. Same with the borderline player in the NFL. I think the inexperienced or journeyman player knows that they still have to make the team to have the contract honoured. Still, it is an expression of interest from the team a step above a mere tryout and no one else can poach them unless/until they are cut.

Well right now Lawler is just a rumor (albeit a nice juicy one) but we still have Burnham, Lucky, Rhymes & Cottoy (a national) just signed. Looks like a lot of WR are going to compete for 1 or 2 spots. As for Simon it says Dallas native so he's not Geroy Jr. I would think.
