Life of a Typical Tigercat Fan

Saturday arrives, He’s at the Stadium a half hour before the kick-off after paying
$20.00 for parking close to the stadium. In his season ticket seat he knows the
people around him. He talks football with them and is excited to see his team
play well. He buys a few beers and sits back to watch the game.
The team loses. He’s pissed off and says that he is going to sell his remaining
tickets. When he gets home, the wife knows not to talk to him about the game.
TWO WEEKS LATER- He is in the line up waiting to enter the stadium, Hope is
Eternal.
Dose this sound familar??

I used to be like this…

Then, I got rid of my seasons tickets because I got tired of paying money to be angry.

Now, I simply expect mediocrity and incompetence. Whenever it doesn’t happen, I’m happily surprised…

Very accurate. ( Except I never pay for parking, I have my go to, sort of, secret free spot)

Who pays for parking? Thought those lots were to trick away fans …

We park at Walmart and take the bus for free when you show them your tickets, free is better than $20.

Yup. I would add one thing: he calls into the Fifth Quarter to vent…

I tried to listen to the 5th quarter last night and couldn’t find it, is it no longer on?

The radio show is long gone, 900 CHML closed, and the youtube show is over as well.

I thought that Rick Zamprin would do a post game call in show now that he’s the new play by play TigerCats announcer. That’s too bad because I enjoyed hearing fans opinions. There is still a post game show on Ticats audio network, but has nothing to do with fans.

Just the way the Hamilton Sports Group likes it.

When Rick announced the 5th Quarter show was continuing on the Ticat A-N and he was doing play by play and post game stuff, I was wondering how they were going to pull that off.
Plus I wondered if the HSG would actually want fans calling in and sh*ting on the team after a loss. Bad for the brand.

Is there any chance we could get Garney to host a post game show? I would pay
good money to listen to that.

fans also call to praise the team when they’re winning like most of the 2nd half of last season. I hope that Rick can somehow continue the 5th quarter, I didn’t call in too often, but did enjoy listening.

My life cycle as a fan, is to start the season expecting them to lose the first 3,4 or 5 games.

Next comes the mid season rebound where they play well enough to start to get my hopes up.

Then comes the expected crash back to reality where my hopes are again crushed at the end of the regular season or some point in the playoffs.

Now I wait until the next season to do it all again.

Good points. I would also add the off-season optimism stage, when the team signs the Next Great Hope (insert any star player name). Which leads to the beginning of the life cycle again.

IS IT TIME TO BELIEVE NOW???

Yes, they took advantage of the other three East teams having second stringers at QB. Now the other three teams have their QBs returning next week so we will see how the rest of the season plays out.
As long as BLM stays healthy they should be looking at first place.

I always found it cathartic listening to the show during the really bad seasons. And it was a place to celebrate when times are good.

Chad Kelly wouldn’t have prevented the 50 points though.

He also wouldn’t have put up the 52 points needed to beat us last night as well .
