Lefko, what was he thinking....

Here is what he said in a recent story about Eric Tillman:

"Tillman also used some of the cap money he saved by dealing Ray, who was being paid about $450,000, to invest in Canadian content, in particular offensive lineman Brendon LaBatte, and some other players he deemed important."

Passed him and his editor??????

Lefko and a couple other of Tillman's buddies will say absolutely anything to plug him.

I don't think it is possible for Lefko to write an article without making at least one factual error.

Big error

I don't know why anyone bother reading him.

...or it could be true and then the fans of the Esks should be really po'd for Tillman investing into a player in Regina...maybe it's a loan of sorts? or he owed the riders one last favour?...

I think he meant he "wanted" to use the money to go attempt going after him...still...pretty horrid error.

Here's Lefko's Rankings from Sportsnet; my view as for ranking them are on the right. Thoughts?

  1. Lions ;..[Lions
  2. Riders ;..[Stamps
  3. Stamps ;..[Riders
  4. Esks ;..[Esks
  5. Argos ;..[Bombers
  6. Bombers ;..[Argos
  7. Als ;..[Als
  8. Ti-Cats ;..[Ti-Cats

They've edited the article to change LaBatte to Simeon Rottier.

How does he rank the Ti-Cats last. They scored more points, lost by less points and got more first downs then MTL. Would love to know how he figures his rankings out.

Fixed it for ya killic. . .

And apologies, I’m supposed to lay off mistakes regarding then/than and less/fewer during the season. . . sorry, I was still in offseason mode there. . .

Perry's comments on the teams in the above link.

Still doesn’t explain his reasoning for Als before Cats in my mind

since rankings has entered this thread

No team looked worse than the bombers, IMO. They had so many 2-and-outs, and buck got hurt (again ).

Toronto and Hamilton were, atleast, in their games at half time. The als, on the other hand, we're never in the game with Calgary.

So, I'd have to say;

Toronto was in the game until the end, and would have won had prefontaine not sucked so bad, so I put them ahead of all the other 'losers'.
