..good signing

Yes good signing I hope he makes the team!

I wish Chris Leak well in Regina and hope he has a good Training Camp.

Durrant, Leak, Dinwitti... Do they have any other noteable qb's comming to camp?

...are you inferring a controversy brewing?!...huh?!...'cause if you are I'm totally on board with that :cowboy:

the only qb controversy will be which one hides Durrants jock strap on game day

I wasn't nessisarily trying to start a controversy... Although that's ok... I was more wondering if Amy other qbs are on the roster. most teams bring at least four qbs to camp. Wondering if the riders have a fourth. Maybe printers...

Leak is the fourth. They’ve got Durant, Dinwiddie, Bergquist, and now Leak.

yup. I think Leak could make the team.. I can see Dinwiddie being the one out the door if Leak can show promise.

Good, solid signing for the Riders. Leak has a lot of potential, and SSK's QB depth appears to be a slight issue. Nothing wrong bringing in another QB with CFL experience to push Dinwiddie and Bergquist for the no. 2 spot.

Sounds like a gloating Al’s fan to me who was more than ready to get rid of that bum – especially to the Riders!

Now they have their own “college boy” in Regina.

You know what? Your relentless bashing of Chris Leak is really tiresome. Grow up.

agreed

I’ll be all eyes his first two chances to play in garbage time should he make the team – will you?

And you are just mad because someone called you out on your “compliment.”

Be glad that you got rid of the bum, and I’ll leave off my rightful bashing of that guy after all the hype before that start last season and his woeful play such that Trestman was smart enough to sit him down the rest of the season too.

Of course I’ll be curious to see how he does. He’s an ex-Alouette and a guy who gave Montreal two years of good service in the no. 3 role. Things didn’t work out for him as an Al, but that doesn’t mean that I consider him trash the moment he left.

And you are just mad because someone called you out on your "compliment."
No, I'm irritated because I was giving him a genuine compliment, when you barged in, as you always do whenever the subject of Chris Leak comes up, to call him names based on some weird, borderline-fetish hatred that I frankly can't understand. We get it: you dislike Chris Leak. And you love Ricky Ray (I like Ray a lot too). And you hate every Eskimo player Eric Tillman releases. And you love every unproven player Tillman signs. Got it.
Be glad that you got rid of the bum, and I'll leave off my rightful bashing of that guy after all the hype before that start last season and his woeful play such that Trestman was smart enough to sit him down the rest of the season too.
Uh, what hype? I remember a few stories on him before the game -- perfectly normal for a young QB making his first start in the CFL. I was excited about Leak at the start of last season, because he looked to have a good handle on the offense -- he took over from Calvillo midgame against Winnipeg and managed the game well enough for us to pick up a win. His actual start didn't go well at all, but he also received no help from the team as a whole on either side of the ball -- the defense got torched and the receivers didn't seem interested in helping him out. If you want to write off a young QB after one bad start, go right ahead. It's plain irrational to me.

Ultimately, Leak wasn’t brought back because he wasn’t going to displace McPherson as the no. 2, and because Santos showed a bit more than anyone expected last season. Leak is walking into a different situation in Saskatchewan, where no one has a lock on the backup position and there’s a new head coach who probably wants to see everyone compete in training camp before making a decision. Nothing wrong with bringing in good QB prospects to push each other for the no. 2 position.

I just don’t get your hatred. You keep calling Leak a bum like he owes you money or ran over your dog with his car. He’s just a player. Was the Gator chop over the top, too much? Yep, definitely. Should he relentlessly mocked by you and other fans for the rest of his pro career based on what happened in one goddamn game? Seriously, GIVE IT A REST.

:) At least you see where I am coming from usually clearly Discipline and others.

No problem -- I'll lay off until after the first of the following:

 1. He proves he sucks in the first two games in which he plays at least three series of downs, or
 2. The first game he plays when he turns over the ball before any TD running or passing, or
 3. Someone else tries to claim anything along the lines for Chris Leak of "but wait, he can be really good!" akin to the college boy hype before that Montreal game last season.

Or you could just stop acting like a broken record...

ever considered just trying to grow up?
