Landry: There's no such thing as a meaningless game

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s all very meaningless except that it ain’t meaningless at all.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.cfl.ca/2023/10/27/landry-theres-no-such-thing-as-a-meaningless-game

Players will also be auditioning for next year playing time for their teams, OR for other teams. These “meaningless” games can sometimes end up with backups getting some serious dough for teams looking to improve. You mention Dru Brown, for example. If he has another strong outing, there is a very good possibility he will be offered a good contract elsewhere. Look what Arbuckle got after leaving Calgary. He hasn’t panned out but it stopped nobody from kicking the tires on him with a big deal once he was up as a free agent.

No such thing as meaningless games. Sometimes it’s the best arena for current backups to make a case for themselves.

Head games? 12:20 game day, Oct 28, and Hamilton hasn’t filed a depth Chart. At least it isn’t posted on their team page.

It would be interesting to see what the TV ratings have been for the last two weeks of the regular season.

I would not count on very good numbers at all.
