OK Tire Labour Day Weekend has come and gone. The stretch is upon us and, my oh my, look at those standings.
I’m really looking forward to next week’s Battle of The Risen Corpses Game featuring the first of two hopefully epic back to back clashes between the almost-mighty Edmonton Elks and the not-ready-to-die Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Both of these teams were left for dead early on in the season.
Those woeful Elks in particular had no heartbeat whatsoever until emergency teams ripped out that poisonous Chris Jones tumor and punched a syringe full of Tre Ford straight into their heart muscle. Now that both teams have hopped out of bed in their backless hospital gowns to gross out the rest of the league with their hotness… it’s time to see who’s come the furthest in post-op.
Winner gets a sponge bath!!! 
Yes it should be interesting for sure.
Elks are on the verge of finding their way to the playoffs for the first time since - well seems like a long time…and the standings are so tight a win here, a loss there could take you from top to bottom in a hurry…
