Lancaster must retire.

Since Lancaster engineered his 1-17 season this team has gone downhill ever since. I believe he is the problem with this team. He doesn't talk to anyone on the sidelines during a game, just yells and complains and waves his arms every so often. No one talks to him. He seems to be removed from everyone. He doesn't give a struggling Jason Mass any help at all. Just stands there glaring at anyone who happens by. I think the game has passed him by. Give him a proper send-off and move on for the good of the current team and the franchise. Just my opinion.

Sorry but this is Not Ron's Mess
it Higher Up then That..

Lancaster obviously sees the situation as one where he didn't create it and he can't fix it until the assistant coaches get axed. And if Young won't clean house in that regard, what else can Lancaster do? Lancaster isn't being paid to run the offence. Paopao is. Is Lancaster supposed to say to Paopao, "let me do your job even though you are being paid for it?" Lancaster is surrounded by inept coaches and he knows the only thing he can do about it is blast the team in the media after the game until some heads roll or the season ends. I feel sorry for Lancaster. No old man should have to endure watching this team's slow death.

That 1-17 team had more heart than this bunch of heartless losers and would kick their asses up and down the field.

No old man should have to endure watching this team's slow death.
I could not agree more. However Ron was one of the architects of this team.

T

Lancaster can't retire. He's the best QB on your team.

An Argo fan

where have you been?
Ronnie was Nearly Out of Loop this year…

In Past 3 Seasons:

Ronnie Went from Coach Demoted to GM
Then Demoted to a Scout…
He was Being Pushed out…

Then We fire Greg and He Put In the Hot Seat.

This is not Ron’s Mess…

Sure blame the coaches, because they're the ones who decide the outcomes of games not the players.

This team needs to replace about 10 players if they're going to be at least a play off team.

My answer would (should) be “yes!”
I watched a Bill Parcells newser last week where he mentioned that he asked his defensive co-ordinator for his game plan before the Cowboy’s first pre-season game. Parcells said he told his co-ordinator to tear up half of it and make it more simple.
Seems to me the job of the head coach is to monitor what his coaches are doing and make the changes that are needed.
If the Tiger Cats don’t do things this way…maybe thats part of the problem. It may also answer questions about why the offensive play calling has been so limited and predictable this season.

In a nutshell, you said it well.

Now, I’ll say it not so gracefully.

He’s lost it but he is so busy hanging on for one more shot at football glory he doesn’t know it.

The biggest mistake the Cats made this year was failing to properly identify that the problems in the teams football operations weren’t stemming from Coach Marshall. Their second biggest mistake was designating their problem “Interim Head Coach”.

Regardless of the amount of the peceived public backlash, without a doubt the decision to cut Ron loose will move this team ahead.

(Not an opinion! FACT!!)

That is my point. When Greg Marshall was hired Ron,as GM,was to advise and mentor Greg. Secondly as GM then as chief scout(whatever the title) he was to find the best players available for the coach. Obviously he has not done a good job at either. Going from coach to GM is a promotion not a demotion. Whatever way you look at it is a mess and Ron Lancaster is not the answer.

100% INCORRECT.

Marshall was hired as Head Coach NOT a pupil, it was his team he ran the show. Lancaster had his own duties and said he was always available for advice if Marshall ASKED for it.
This grotesque lie that Lancaster controls coaches and all of the football ops. has to stop.

Don’t you Think
They knew He was not the Answer
he was a Quick Fix

What do you think Interim Means…?
Temporary Coach…
Till They find the HeadCoach for Next Season.

This was not Ron’s mess to start with…
It like having a foot DR. Do you Open Heart Surgery .
Ron is Just Trying to stop The Bleeding of a Dead Season…

Don’t Blame him for an Upper Mangent Screw up.
Where Lucky Ronnie Even Said Yes.
Cause no one in thier Right mind wanted this Job after Marshall was Caned…

Is it Haiku time again?

Quick fix! What quick fix? Ron is simply now rotting in a coaching position he is incapable of performing properly any longer, a position Ron probably put himself back into when Mr. Young, under pressure to show improvement, approached him and Katz with coaching concerns. To take the heat off of himself Ron resigned himeself to becoming a yes man to the new owner and likely agreed Greg Marshall had to go. Being forced to take over Greg M’s job was the hazard that Ron wanted to avoid, but, BAM, how could he have avoided it to save his a##, now that he had become a yes man? What’s actually been fixxed? I’ll tell you! Nothing! Just a good lesson for 3 men.

Paopao does not deserve the extent of the blame which has been tossed in his direction.

Since Ron was replaced by Greg Marshall his title was General Manager followed by Senior Director of Football Operations.

He needs to take some ownership regarding the state of the franchise.

It's not like he hasn't been involved since 2004.

Blame the coaches all you want... the PLAYERS are the #1 problem!!!

Is it the players who decide who gets signed, who starts and who sits, what’s in the playbook, who gets benched or shipped out if they don’t perform? If so, this team is really in trouble - I reckon most CFL teams put those decisions in the hands of coaches and general managers. And then hold them responsible if the players remain the #1 problem.

Coaches don't drop balls, run wrong routes, miss tackles, broken coverages, offsides, POOR scrambling QB containment, throw the ball short, behind and over the receivers... you should get the picture. As far as offseason sighnings:Maas,Ranek,Holmes,Vaughn... whats your point again section8?
