That felt like a playoff game, and it vurtually WAS. If we lost, we would virtually be eliminated.
Instead, we swept Toronto this season - if nothing else, THAT feels good.
BLM wearing the lucky BOveralls into the stadium This is must-wear apparel for him for hte remainder of the season.
Speaking of BLM, can you believe that final drive with just under a minute to go for the win?
Robinson had a hell of a game, with a couple of tough catches and a TD. Bridges was our most-targeted receiver, and made crucial catchs to get us to the 2-yd-line twice. The first one led to a TD, and the other led to FIVE attempts at the goal line and a FG. TT was at QB for at least two of those plays, and I can’t understand why thery did two handoffs from the shotgun. I don’t know if he made the correct read on a RPO play, or if it was a running play from the get-go. Either way, as @Crash mentioned, the O-Line simply HAS to get a yard.
It’s impossible to tell on TV, but White was targeted only twice, and I don’t know if it was due to double-coverage or his inability to find an opening. No drops though, so that’s good.
I am seeing what Milanovich sees in Bell vs Butler - Bell reminds me a little of Archie Amerson when he actually played RB - a shifty guy with elite speed. Butler is a true North-South back. I feel that the combo of Bell/Litre gives us a more dynamic look.
For the longest time, I thought Washington had reappeared to “coach” our Defence. I know we had a few injury replacements, but they obviously aren’t good enough. Leonard is a hindrance - he simply gives up too much height and size to opposing receivers.
The play of the game, or the TSN Turning Point, was Milanovich’s challenge on that completely BS DPI call in the end zone. If TOR scores a TD, the game is over.
Five penalties for 50 yards is pretty good. TOR had 8-82.
The field was an embarasement. Hopefully it’s that chewed-up for that soccer team that Rogers apparently now owns.
POTG is Milanovich’s challenge flag… lol
