Kiss the 2023 Witches vol.V - Sweep

Got to give the Ottawa defense recognition for a solid job stopping the run.

To give the coaching staff credit, they really had Taylor spread the ball around. Crossers, slants and some deep balls. Happy to see Smith make a couple of catches that mattered. Came back for the ball on the sidelines and had some YAC’s.

Gotta go with powell , he’s progressing every game. Pulling him now wouldn’t be a good move.

Pass pertection was 1000% better tonight!
I hope Leonard is OK.
Did Powell punt 3 times tonight?
I saw the one drop kick,-onside punt play, but must have missed the other two.

IMO, Taylor has earned the next start but could see Shiltz platoon. He brings in the run threat but can also throw.

WHAT . . . A . . . GRITTY . . . PERFORMANCE !!!
Mea Culpa . . . I did not think they had a chance in this game, with only 3 days rest, and no real Practice Time.

When you least expect it . . . EXPECT IT !!!

Stick with the hot hand. But with Stein and QB management one never knows.

It’s also Winnipeg. Expectations should be tempered.

Good team win despite being screwed by the schedule maker. Still can’t get overly excited because of who we beat ( 3 of 5 wins were against Ottawa). Ottawa is basically out of the hunt now and the real battle is now between the 'Cats and Calgary for third in the East. As for an honest shot at second place, well, the thought of sugar plum fairies are not dancing in my head.

Need a repeat of last year’s home game versus Winnipeg.

There is absolutely no excuse to not come out swinging.

If anyone doubts Tim White, you should know this. He currently holds down two of the top 10 positions on the CFL receiving yardage list. It is a feat that has likely not been matched in several years, or longer.

TSN believes Chad Owens also did this.

That’s a major problem for this team. They never come out swinging for home games and like you said there is “no excuse”.

That would be a welcomed change.

WPG offense will obliterate our defense. On the ground and shred secondary.
HAM QB wiil be a moot point.

You could actually see Powells eyes scanning the field looking for secondary receivers. Looks like the game is slowing down for him. Keep him as the starter or go back to Shiltz?

Hey, it’s the CFL and anything can happen. Go Cats Go.

Well, that was the same sentiment last year.

Let’s se if we can reach a consensus.

Are we collectively more (a) happy about tonight, or (b) angry about next week?

Its so crazy were comparing WRs to SBs

Maybe Collaros, Olivera, Schoen, Demski will get hurt this weekend.
