Apparently WPG has’t won a regular-season game in regulation time since 2017 in Hamilton. That streak continues.
We now have a 2-game winning streak. I have to admit that I am impressed with this win. Powell has shown even more improvement, and had some really good drives.
The Defence did just enough to keep us in the game, and had a few timely INTs and stops. WPG seemed able to score at will.
really starting to like this Powell guy. Still learning but he has come a long ways in his development. Just like I said in the GDT I would like to see him being rolled out more. Great win ti-cats
They did it to me two years in a row. Couldn’t make the Winnipeg last year or today, and both times they put on arguably the most impressive performance of the year!
Powell really looks to be growing. Big reason is we finally have a good Oline. Figs is back, Murray resigned 2 weeks ago, Powell had time.
Offense looks versatile under Milanovich. Other then some big plays they gave up, the D seemed to have a plan to force Collaros into some throws they wanted him to make.
No sweeter feeling then beating Winnipeg.
Suck iiiiiiiiiit Winnipeg!!!
The Ticats are coming together/playing their best ball at exactly the right time.
The way Powell is playing, there is no way we see Bo or Shiltz take a meaningful snap again this year, even if they’re healthy, imo.
The move to go to Milanovich as OC has clearly transformed the team. Our star players are now being put in positions to produce, and the D and Special Teams are feeding off of that, confidence-wise.
Washington’s D is finally looking like a championship calibre D, despite giving up some explosion plays. The guys who filled in for injured starters did their job when it counted.
Ticats and Elks in the Grey Cup this year? Wouldn’t that be something.
Powel is improving with every game. I’m hoping by playoff time he’ll be starting caliber QB. Right now IMO he’s the best on the team including BLM and Shiltz.
I missed both Winnipeg games due to weddings. I guess the trick is to keep missing more home games by going to weddings - and we will be ok - seems like a good luck charm!!
I am reading through the game thread during speeches to catch up on what I missed.
One of our better defensive performances, all things considered.
“Things” include:
Opponent who scored 50 points last week while taking their foot off the gas
Our two best DBs were hurt. Not sure if any of the five starters have started a full season of games in the CFL. For some, you can count their starts on one hand.
Turned things around after a difficult first half. Produced multiple turnovers during a stretch of the game when the offence started to stall. Allowed just the one TD in the final 30 minutes.
