After rosters are reduced to a maximum of 75 players per team on 13 May, when and what is the next cut before Regular Season Week 1 game day?

What!!! I had big plans willing able to attend cfl games in Italy, France, Austria, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Japan and other countries (no game dates forthcoming) that commish Randolph had announced he signed agreements with. Did he pull the wool over cfl fans eyes just so he could travel the world on a poor man’s league’s dime?

Just adding to this that the 2025 CFL Specialist Showcase is scheduled for February 9th in sunny San Diego!

Hosted by NFL legend Nick Novak and his team at Novak Kicking and Consulting.

In the coming days/weeks, I will be collaborating with NKC and pushing out posts describing each of the specialists’ career highlights/accolades.

Can you link your source for these signed agreements to play CFL games in all these countries?

WK 3 pre-season ends Friday, May 30. Regular season Begins June 5.

Typically that means cuts will have to be made by Sunday June 1.

Thank you. Do you know how many players teams keep for the first game before announcing those who will be active for the game, and before they slide guys onto practice rosters or move them to the “injury” list or other tactics to stash guys?

45 is the roster size. I believe you can carry a dozen on the practice squad, and injuries are injuries.
Typically teams will fill some of their practice squad spots right after camp. Our former coach usually did not and filled those spots over a few weeks because there were plenty of guys around, some of who they would bring in and work out.

Ask cfl grand poohba Randy Ambrosie. He has the plan.

The response above is nonsense.

You are not free to post wildly inaccurate statements on this forum. Conspiracy theories are not allowed.

In this thread you attempted to present as fact a ridiculous assertion that our outgoing commissioner had in hand signed agreements with numerous countries to play CFL games there. You were challenged on this and couldn’t back it up. You were recently challenged on a similar post asserting something to be true regarding Trevor Harris that wasn’t true and failed to prove your post there as well. This has happened at least one or two other times. Clearly it is intentional on your part.

This behaviour, especially when asked to refrain from false posts, fits the definition of trolling. I don’t know what other forums you may have experience with, but this forum does not permit or tolerate this type of posting. The same goes for making 20 posts in a row in a dozen or more threads enunciating how you hate the football team in Saskatchewan.

Feel free to follow the rules of the forum and if you do not further posts that are considered to be trolling will be deleted and further disciplinary action is likely.

For those that don’t know or have forgotten… Ambrosie wanted to explore a couple of teams going down to Mexico to have a “practice” in 2023 (and beyond) and couldn’t get that accomplished.

Calling the kettle black on yourself cfl ca. cfl.ca is responsible with the most inconsistent irresponsible hypothetical articles on a week to week basis. And please show me in any of my posts where I say I hate the saskatchewan roughrider football club, show me!

First, I have nothing to do with cfl.ca. They operate and pay for this site and we must all follow the guidelines they set. We also have nothing to do with any site generated articles they post.

As to hating the Saskatchewan football team, I didn’t mean to leave the impression that you actually used the word “hate”. You may have but I’m not going to search to see if that is the case, but that’s not the point. I said you made numerous posts in numerous threads enunciating how you hate the Riders. I think that is fair. You can just look at your deleted posts for the proof of that.

While there is certainly some trash talk back and forth on the forum as there might be sitting in a bar with your buds discussing sports, hopefully good natured and respectable, that is different than consistently posting in numerous threads how bad, inept, stupid, etc. the entire Rider organization is and consistently insulting them. A positive post about anything would be welcome and I find it odd to say the least that 90% of your posts are negative posts about the Saskatchewan franchise and fans even though you claim to be a fan of another team.

Whoever you are, you’re getting into slanderous territory with your comment untowards. For a moderator you sure inject your own personal view points on this site. Stay professional, unbiased, neutral, unless flagrant opinions not appropriate. For clarification, I would never call anyone stupid hence the start of your accusatory slander.

Respectfully, a reader of this official cfl site.

You are not familiar with forum rules yet continue to spout off on all kinds of things you have no idea about. Again tonight you made another anti Rider post yet you do not address your bizarre obsession with the Riders. We won’t ask you again to stop trolling the Riders and their fans. Do with that what you will but in all good faith I ask you to read and attempt to understand the site rules.

Read through all the rules and regulations and beyond that when signed up to this site. I must say very comprehensive legal terms associated to cfl.ca, most intrusive when you read between the lines but that’s the terms. Most people don’t read what they put their name to when signing up to websites in today’s world. I will say on a final note, I will just read the articles provided by the CFL’s official website and not have opinion from here on out.

You can have an opinion on CFL articles and that is the essence of the forum so I would never discourage that. Just be aware, as you now appear to be, that no one on the forum has anything to do with or has any control over the cfl.ca or site generated articles. Also, only some articles are about the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
