Before last nights game we were 2 points out of first place and now our season is over? Thanks for the optimism Ken. It's so easy to dump on the team. How about giving them some support from time to time?
Do we blow this thing up, yet again...which doesn't work, or do we build for future success?

For Christ's sake, Ken's job isn't to be a cheerleader for the Cats.
Any "dumping" on the team is richly deserved considering this team's glaring deficiencies.
I wouldn't say the season is quite shot yet, but if they lose the next game it most certainly is.

Hi reporting is totally biased, but for the other team. He may as well be a mole for the Argos.
It doesn’t take a nobel prize winner to point out their deficiencies, but he could at least point out some positives.
20,000 supporters seem to have some hope. Maybe Ken should have to pay for his own ticket.
Actually, over the past few seasons I thought Kenneth Peters has taken it easy on the Cats; for a good example of a reporter "dumping" on a team you should read Herb Zurkowsky's venomous reporting on the Als last season (a team that went 8 - 10: my kingdom for the Cats to get eight victories!).

We need a quick turn-around with some wins in order to stop a cross-over which is looming as a very good chance this year!
To write off the season at this stage is to spell the demise of the team. Do you really want the fans not to show up for the remaining games? I think Ken should take that into consideration, after all the team is his meal ticket. Don't bite the hand that feeds you...or it may bite back.

It's a little premature to write them off for 2008. I think he should've waited until Lumsden's injury situation is known. If he's out for a couple of games, forget about the playoffs.
It is hard to argue with the numbers though. They are what they are.

The Cats 1-5 record is very disappointing to say the least. However I am not in favour of blowing the thing up again this early in the season. Ken Peters did state that if the Cats do not win 2 of 3 before the break then Charlie is gone.
The team is playing better than last year but still not winning.
Keep the coach until the season is over, let the players develop and get a new coach in the off season. Do not have a disaster like 2006 when the players knew none of the coaches would be back and did not seem to care.
Don't blame Peters for reporting what is obvious. Blame the organization for not giving us something to cheer for. Blame the team for not winning games. His columns are simply pointing out the obvious, no more no less.
