Kato’s passing has been a trending topic and quite notworthy here in Van. Global TV did a wonderful tribute to him last night. Interviewed a lot of former players for the piece (including Bomber Adam Bighill who resides here in the off-season); it was really well done.
I had the pleasure of interacting with him on a number of occassions. He was a real prince of a guy.
Yes, I’m sorry to hear of this. I remember seeing him on the sidelines during TV broadcasts throughout the years. Condolences to his family and friends
