Now’s the time for fans to show the Argos if they seriously don’t like Kelly being back in the CFL. I wonder what the crowd will look like.

For the first time since I started watching the CFL in 2018 I won’t be cheering for the Argos.

He issued a heartfelt formal apology to the press and the public

Oh and I will continue to go to the games

Looking forward to Thursday, go tickets to this game

The CFL should have banned Chad Kelly for at least a season…preferably forever…this was far from the first screw up by this individual…and Kelly is not even close to being an “outstanding player”…more like “despicable player”…,no role model

I am disappointed by the Argos handling of this situation (including ending contract of victim)…especially in Pinball who I thought would take a much stronger position on this…same with MLSE…this is one issue that the Argos didn’t just bounce around on, they completely dropped the ball.

Was an Argo fan from way back in 70s…no longer an Argo fan…and very disappointed in CFL too…

Isn’t that a lot like those nasty teachers we had who punished the whole class for a few bad eggs?

He’s too young to remember “the strap”.

Best to Kelly, unlike many here I think there is hope for him to be a good person even if he may no longer be an athlete at the pro level to perform. The jury is out, let’s see how he does and does not do the shit of thinking he can get any women he wants. He’s growing up, hey I’m still growing up at age 68 for that matter. Mind you I still think “I’m hot” but I know “I’m not”, but just the same, I’m friggin “hot”.

I’m looking forward to seeing Kelly play again. I expressed my thoughts on his return in an earlier post so I won’t repeat them. I don’t expect him to return to last year’s form after only 3 day’s practice ( we know what happened to Nathan Rourke Sunday night after 3 day’s practice), but he’s sure to be better than Dukes or Arbuckle.
Argos may not beat the Riders on Thursday, but their Labour Day game against Hamilton will be fun to watch.

Chad Kelly is a troubled young man who clearly suffers from mental/emotional health issues. It appears he is now receiving treatment for these issues for the first time in his life. Anyone with a shred of compassion in their hearts will be hoping he can overcome these serious issues and become a better human being.

Kelly has paid his dues and it’s time for the all arm-chair judges to get a life. As if anyone has the moral authority to pass judgement onto him, and as if any of us is so pure and perfect as to justify condemning him. The kid has made mistakes and so has everyone else in this imperfect world. My only concern is that Kelly should not play the whole game. The coach should just let him play one or two quarters just to get his feet wet. We saw what happened to Rourke. Granted, Kelly approaches his return with a different mindset and granted he has been in communication with the staff and he has watched the team play from a distance.

I`d cheer for Toronto normally, but not anymore, they moved to number 9 on my cfl ranks

No, Kelly has to either make good on his last chance or ship out.

It’s up to him now. Focus on that.

Kelly has a lifetime history of misbehaviour that cannot all be explained by mental illness and of which he has been a willing and witting perpetrator, including in criminal acts in the US.

Where is your sympathy for the victim?

Chad Kelly deserves a second chance in this very controversial decision based on the “He said She said Saga” :upside_down_face: I would like to know how all the above negative comments were “Found Out” The CFL & NFL signed many players with much more serious allegations :exclamation: If we can not give a man a second chance, what kind of society have we become  I wish Chad Kelly all the best moving forward and let him display his exceptional leadership skills on and off the field. :bangbang:
