For all of you who are calling for JoJo's head on a platter, take a deep breath and think for a minute. Yes, he made a boneheaded decision, but the bigger the mistake, the bigger the lesson. I believe JoJo learned a valuable lesson and will be a better player for it. Why release a player who has learned from a bad experience and has something to prove, to another team who will get the benefit of that experience and burn us with it? I think we will see a much improved JoJo walker this Friday if cooler heads prevail and he is still here.
Thoughts?
Yes! He is a human and can easily make an error in judgement just like the rest of us in life or at work.
After every single game there is a thread about cutting someone. Pathetic fans.
I agree completely. It's something he OBVIOUSLY learned from if the look on his face on the bench was any indication. Give the kid a break.
ya id have to agree as well, put him rite back in on kick returns. give him a chance to make it up to his teamates, eh
Jo Jo the clown should be axed to let the others know that there is no room for high school mistakes.
I agree, but that kind of crap shouldn't be happening at any level of football.
Seems like there's some coaching issues if a guy is even attempting to bring that ball out.
Jo Jo had better get his stuff together. People he's a football player, and the type of mistake's he make he should have learned in little league.....come on this guy had better WAKE UP, because he is not paying attention!!
He should be purely a backup on special teams for at least a couple of games while remaining a depth receiver.
There has to be accountability for making mistakes that are jawdroppers. Wayne Shaw knows that feeling all too well.
Jo Jo can rebound by starting to focus more and make plays that don't resemble a Bambi meets Godzilla outtake.
Oski Wee Wee,
There’s making mistakes, like JoJo and all of us do, and then there’s crossing a line to where it’s no longer mistakes but rather not being able to play at an acceptable level (Wayne Shaw, Craig Yeast).
But yes, there has to be accountability in some form.
Once again, too many Leaf fans.
Jo Jo Walker is a good football player who made a terrible mistake in judgement. I say, he's learned his lesson and needs to be thrown right back into the fray.
I would compare the situation to a pass receiver who drops a ball that hits him on the numbers. Frequently, the QB will go right back to that same receiver with another pass to give him a chance to redeem himself.
Of course, if he makes a habit of dropping easy passes like Bauman and Ralph, the QB may have to rethink his strategy.
i remmeber a Minn. Viking running the length of the field the wrong way . I am not sure of his name but Page sounds familiar to me . The player in question went on to have a brilliant carreer . So it doesnt just happen in the CFL . I think Walker was just trying to make something happen and im sure he
d do anything to help us win a game in the future !!!
Hi Habman:
Jim Marshall was the Minnesota Viking defensive lineman who recovered a fumble and ran the wrong way to his own team's goalline area.
Someday, I hope, we’ll see JoJo’s head(read bust) on the podium in front of the CFL Football Hall of Fame.
[quote="winched"]Someday, I hope, we
Amen.
Lets face it. This guy does not make decisions quick enough. He likes to dance around then usually runs sideways causing illegal blocks as players try to make an opening for him.
Good returners catch the ball, make quick decsions on where they are headed and run straight up field. Once you get through the initial wave of tacklers you will find open field and long returns.
This guy makes the same mistakes game in game out. Lets the ball bounce, runs sideways, doesnt think on his feet.
Time for a change
for all of you who want to cut jojo, that’s crazy, everyone makes mistakes…so you’re saying that if you have a bad day at your job we should fire you??? next time you have a bad day at work, think of mr. walker…
that play was not Mr Walker's fault!Taaffe told him to run it out if the kick was wide.He was just doing what the boss ordered and we got to see the results!

I watched the play and Taffe looked downright discussed when it happened.
I’d really like to know what the basis for your statement is.
Hey, the kid’s alright,
So far this year JoJo has done a good job receiving. When the ball has gone his way he’s been pretty reliable.
He’s just a rookie, so you’re bound to see a bonehead play from the odd rookie, but it better not happen again.
GoGo…JoJo :cowboy:
