Overcoming cancer is like climbing a mountain. On Saturday, May 23, 2009, I and the members of the Ron Lancaster Chaptor of CFL Fans Fight Cancer will be joining with others in our community to climb higher than Mt. Everest in support of local cancer research, treatment and awareness.

Cancer claimed my mother's life when I was 16, so I too know how dreadful a disease cancer is. I hope my donation helps out in eliminating this terrible disease. Go Jare Go!!!!!

Hey guys, a bit more information on this...

Hey guys, I hope you are all aware of CFL Fans Fight Cancer.

Recently, I was contacted by Bryan Crawford, a Hamilton native who is currently playing for the Argos. He is the organizer of the Climb for Cancer which is a fundraiser in Hamilton, climbing the stairs to the top of the escarpment. Members of the Ticats, Argos and other CFL organizations participate, and this year CFL Fans Fight Cancer was asked to join in, so we are definately thrilled to be included this year.

So, on May 23rd, myself, Zach Paikin, Jarrett Harris and one other individual will be participating in this climb. This year it is the Ron Lancaster Memorial climb, with proceeds going to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation.

All are welcome to join us at the event. Noon on May 23rd at the steps at Chedoke Golf Course.

Note: 1 spot is open to participate. Please contact me if you want to join in!
