Johnson: Bombers took too many days off in 2010

Interesting. Johnson isn't the kind of guy who runs his mouth for no reason. I wonder if LaPolice is planning on being tougher on his players in 2011.

...I LIKE IT......i'm old school.....if you're not winning ,you better be ready to give a 110 precent any day and every day (injured players excluded) LaPo better get tough or he'll suffer the same fate as some of our other 'also-ran' coaches...We had a task-master in Reed but it seems he was a little 'soft'...Time to get someone on board with a 'stick'...Good on Jovon for telling it like it is...

Yeah, I get the impression from lapo that he is too much of a touchy, feely guy and not enough of an ass-kicker.

Yup. There's a fine line between being a players' coach and being a pushover. LaPo needs to crack the whip this season. It's okay to show your team some tough love every once in a while.

Jovon's comments dont surprise me too much. Jovon has just put himself in a very tough situation and I am sure he knows this. I have a lot of respect for a guy who is willing to put himself in the line of fire to improve his team as opposed to guys who wait till the coach has been fired.

Interesting comment, I agree with it.

Thanks man, happy new year ! Now we dance !

well… whats that old saying… practise makes perfect? pretty much what jovon said.

dont matter if ur afootball player, artist, architect, writer… whatever… play an instrument… the more u do it, the better u get.
Practise makes perfect.

u dont get better by thinking of doing it, u get better by busting ur butt and actually doing it. Jovon is considered one of the defensive leaders so if he’s saying this… IM thinking he’s seen some stuff that he didnt like. And honestly more power to him… see ppl on other sites, they talk about doug brown and terrence edwards… well doug brown and terrence edwards… they dont need to practise all the time, they can take the monday or tuesday off… whatever, heal their injuries. I think jovon was talking more about alot of the young guys on the team… not always going out there practising… plus i mean new qb, new offence, qb gets hurt, another new qb, that qb gets hurt, another new qb, he gets hurt, another new qb… how u get familliar is by practising… Dont think jovon was refering to brown or TE… like some do, think he was refering to rookies not wanting to always give it their all on the field in practise, fact is… cfl limits the amount of time u can practise so unless u are legit… like legit injured… get out there and do your dang job.
