John Jenkins' was impressive at Town Hall meeting

I have to say, I was very impressed by John Jenkins last night at the Town Hall meeting held on the A Channel. His enthusiasm is infectious and his heart is in the right place. By the manner in which he was speaking, I believe he is sincere in his intentions of helping the Renegades turn it around. He showed a lot of respect to the fans and the history of football in Ottawa. Whether he succeeds or not, you have to give the guy a chance and support him. The question is, will he get a chance to ? Do you agree or disagree ? :?:

He should have a chance but his whole stargy is out dated.

how have you guys (gades fans) been though all this crazy stuff?

Agreed ORR. You cant help but get excited when this guy talks about this season. He sounds genuinly honest that he has a fantastic group of players coming to camp.....

How about Tillman last night??? Talk about passion. I want this guy back as our GM, I know that much.

Tillman was very impressive and he always is, and he deserves to be our GM. Tillman and Jenkins are a good fit.

Very happy, why do you ask?

The situation peeves me off because it was avoidable, KK. Let's hope Urban buys the team :!:

Whoever buys the team, within the next week, I hope they keep Jenkins and his staff for this year and give them a shot beyond that depending on how they do and what potential they show. JJ and Coach Wade strike me as really gung ho about the upcoming season.
I also hope they choose ET or someone of a similar background and experience in the CFL(is there anyone else available?) to be the GM.

I loved watching Tillman come right out and say what Specifically happened, and point his finger directly at those responsible for the mess.

And I enjoyed seeing the finger he chose to point with!

Bring him back ASAP!

Hasn't Jenkins already been let go?

If new owner is found esp for 06, Jenkins would probably be kept on only because there’s no time to find a new coaching staff.

His master plan consisteed of telling us to help sell more tickets.

Jenkins is a Glieberman hire. Whoever moves in will have him on short leash. Nothing short of finishing first or appearing in GC will save his job.

He was wrong hire for Gades at such crucial part of their history.

I found his “enthusiasm” as well a bit over the top.

As for ET, he claims he’s happy in media, but rest assured if he’s offered job on his terms, he’d jump at it. But again, there’s no guarantee that a new owner would want him.

New owner want their own people. That’s how it works— period.

No he hasn't, it was a false news report. The CFL sent a press release yesterday clearing the matter.

Nooch, from all the "bad stuff" we heard about Jenkins before/when he came in town, I personnaly changed my opinion on him yesterday.

You can't deny the guy is trying hard to get everyone on the bandwagon, and he was very polite with every fan that approached him.

Maybe he was a little bit over the top, as some point of the Townhall looked like a "lovefest", but at least he's trying to get things rolling.

My CFL includes the 'Gades !

I like Jenkins, he's got personality and looks like he wants to win. Not like PaoPao who showed no emotion what so ever while on the sidelines.

I agree, PaoPao was NOT a good coach. He made a lot of bad decisions and had no imagination. The Renegades should have waited until the end of the season to get rid of him and then name Jenkins. Jenkins became as much a victim in this as Poapoa was. The result was that Poapoa became a folk hero and I blame Lonie and Forrest for this.

Jenkins was shooting straight from the hip. I liked what I heard. And Tillman always has something intelligent to say.
