Jim Popp free agent ?

Jim Popp appears set to work the last year of his contract and while the Owner and Jim are talking and Jim would love to stay, he is looking for "fair and equitable" treatment. With Ottawa looking to come online and Rita's role looking like it is winding down in Toronto. If I was the Doctor. I would take out my chequbook and hand a piece of paper over to Jim and ask him to write down a number.... 7 Gre Cup trips in 10 years, loyal for 14 years... And if I'm Ottawa man I have a headhunter whipering in his ear and lunching with him every month...

No doubt about it, Popp's turned himself into a CFL legend and has proved that he can make THE best team's out there.

I don't worry; Mr. Popp will -before beginning of season- sign a 3 to 4 years extension that will pay him well. Long discussions when we are talking between $475,000 and $600,000 a season. He knows how much Marc Trestman is making

Mr.Trestman is in Montreal because of Jim Popp; if ever Jim Popp was not back in 2011, I am not sure that Marc would be back.

Richard

Bob and Lisa Wetenhall, do the right thing: get Jim squared away to a LONG-TERM contract signing. Jim Popp IS the Montreal Alouettes.

Jim is one of the best GM's and no doubt the owner will sign him again.
