Blue Bombers are expected to make a player announcement this morning. Word is that they will announce Jason Vega has returned to the Bombers after a brief stint in the NFL.

Nice to have him back. He was definitely better than Peach showed in his time last season. Here's to hoping he can pick up where he left off and build on that.

You can say that again. I never did understand why the Bombers picked Peach up . . . he hadn't shown anything of particular value while in Hamilton.

Hunt-Anderson-Turner-Vega, Thomas and Lucas as rotation guys in at tackle, Griggs or whoever rotating in at the end spots. The makings of a solid Dline. Given that Hunt was waived because of an ACL injury at the start of the NFL season, the Eagles liked him but now may pass on him in favour of a younger player. Not that he's old, mind you, he'll be 28 at the start of next season. He may still get a look in the NFL to see if he can come back. If it wasn't for that knee injury I would've placed the odds at him coming back to the CFL pretty low. Now I think there's a chance, still under 50/50 IMO for the start of next season, odds would be better as a mid to late season addition after he doesn't get a NFL spot. But odds are better than they were at any rate.
