Sometimes 'smart people' are kinda useless when it comes to nuts and bolts thinking. My late father (a lawyer) hilariously tried to assemble a tiny log cabin toy for us when we were kids and failed so miserably that he threw it in the garbage and bought us something fully assembled instead. We still looked up to him. We just never asked him to fix anything.
