EDMONTON — For anyone affiliated with the Edmonton Elks, the suffering is over. Fans, players and coaches alike celebrated the team’s first home win since 2019 with a 30-20 win over the visiting Ottawa REDBLACKS, ending a 22-game home losing streak.

This victory hasn’t quite set in yet amongst Elks fans. A lot of them are pinching themselves to see if they’re dreaming.
Even our all-knowing pundits on the The CFL Panel were questioning their senses. “We know it happened because we just saw it happen.”

Thank You Elks! Ottawa’s loss is Hamilton’s gain - it brings some structure now to the eastern standings.

Elks should be the favourite against the stamps next week and the week after.
Might have finally turned a corner.
From being down right atrocious to being just bad.
And of course it happens to be the Red blacks that cough up a hair ball, Good lord this Ottawa team is brutal,
If Edmonton rolls into Calgary and beats the (already beaten) Stampeders, the pitchforks and torches will be out in big numbers…
