Allen Park, Mich.— The Detroit Lions announced today that they have released 20 players and waived/injured DE Korey Bosworth to trim their roster down to the NFL mandated 53-man limit prior to the 6 p.m. league deadline.

The Lions released the following players: CB Dré Bly, DT Rob Callaway, LB Caleb Campbell, LB Vinny Ciurciu, WR Brian Clark, DT Landon Cohen, RB DeDe Dorsey, G Noah Franklin, C Dan Gerberry, K Steven Hauschka, CB Jonathan Hefney, T Jon Jansen, CB Eric King, T Cliff Louis, WR Michael Moore, CB Paul Pratt, CB T.J. Rushing, S Ko Simpson, WR Tim Toone and CB Dante Wesley

....He could still get picked-up by another nfl team....IF not in ten days, he reverts back to the Bombers contract and if he plays football at all in 2010 it would be with the Bombers.....Lapo and Mack better get ready to make some adjustments in the secondary pronto if nobody in the nfl decides Hef. is worth a look... :thup: :rockin:..Good news for us
