It all comes down to TWO things.......

In football you must do two things effectively in order to win.

Blocking and tackling! Pure and simple.

No matter who your QB is or your coach is. If you can not block and tackle you will not win.

Take the "razzle dazzle" and send it back down south. When its November and the temperature is -15C complete with gusting winds. The team that will win, will be the team that blocks and tackles to perfection.

Yes. The most apt Lombardi tenet there is. I saw a lot better blocking today (the running game started to roll along with the return game), but the tackling was abysmal at times.

That being stated, it's up to the coaches to place the players in a position where they are properly coordinated to make plays. On defence in particular, the secondary guys looked lost a lot today. If your fundamentals are bad and you lack communication, you can't win. Period.

Oski Wee Wee,

You are too kind!

Prehapse the defence will get a lot better if the offence can stay on the field for more than 2 plays at a time. Here's hoping.
