I understand that there is more to the gameday experience than just football, but for some reason it just feels like the football side of the operation is lacking. What's worse, it feels like people in the stadium just don't care anymore. When I go to the game: I don't care about that stupid 'helmet' game, I don't care about the music, and I could care less about Fly-Away-With-West-Jet. Don't even get me started on that rum give-away that nobody ever wins.
I'm at Ivor Wynne Stadium to watch a football game. What do I get? What I'm afraid to refer to XFL. A team that doesn't care at all about the on-field product as long as there are bums in the seats. I've defended this team for a very, very long time. I've had it. Enough. I'm going to go to "football" games still, but I'm not going to buy any merchandise or concessions. You're getting the bare minimum until I see improvement.
Bob, the real problem with this team is it's run too much like a business. I believe you mean well, but the result clearly isn't up to par with the rest of the league. Hire some new coaches, new players, and don't allow your football operations team to turtle like they did this year in hiring coach PaoPao for the sake of his name.
Going to IWS is now like going to a WWE match. You already know who's going to lose, but boy you'll sure be entertained by the theatrics.
