Is there something wrong with CFL Footballs?

I have waited a bit to make this post but I have to ask. Is there something wrong with the footballs that the CFL uses?

I have noticed this season, not only in Cat games, that in the first half of games, there are a lot of dropped passes, and fumbles caused by no one.

Does the CFL have to rub down the balls like in MLB?

Is there a sealant layer on these balls that go away after continuous use?

I'm just curious to see everyone elses take on this.

It's called hand eye coordination - you catch with your fingers with your hands away from your body at eye or shoulder level. Fairly simple - our team should purchase a ball throwing machine -it would help our receivers. Nothing wrong with the balls just the guys catching them.
