Is it time to get rid of the H logo?

I’ve never been a fan of the H logo
That was introduced a few years ago
I wish we’d get rid of it along with the gray uniforms

I’d love to see retro yellow helmets with this logo to replace it

Along with a retro uniform from the 85 or older era

100% with you on that.

I have to disagree.

The logo and grey unis have grown on me. Keep them. :clinking_beer_mugs:

On a side note I’d love to see something incorporating the late 90’s.

It’s not a complaint it’s just a suggestion
That hammer logo doesn’t belong
We need to get back to our roots then maybe we’ll win

As if a logo or motif makes any difference on the field.

“Getting back to our roots” means a punishing Defence - something we haven’t had in years. It has NOTHING to do with a motif that’s used at most 3 times per year. If anything, it’s a marketing ploy to increase merchandise sales - nothing more, nothing less, and the exact same thing that every professional sports team does with alternate jerseys and kit.

If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Many do like it, and the team is likely contractually obligated with New Era to continue it.

I’d like a nice gold alt. Could be a lot more comfortable for the guys on those hot days like today too.

The H logo isn’t going anywhere.

Corporations are changing logos to these more simplistic, less busy designs. The thing motivating this is how a logo looks on a phone screen.

A simple letter with one colour is easy to identify quickly vs. The traditional logos of decades gone by.

I agree with both of your wishes. The grey uni’s offer the appearance that all the Cats players are on the field in their cotton long johns. Let’s go back to the tiger logo and leave the H for the Halifax team that will be joining the league in 40 years. Or for Huntsville, or Hinton, or High River after expansion.

Just be thankful the Cats never tried anything like the god awful striped throwback Steelers uniforms

Truly hideous.

These unis were fantastic. Definitly would make a great throwback in some future season.

Those Steelers’ throwbacks were based on uniforms of the early ‘30s when the team was founded.
If the Tiger-Cats chose to do something similar, based on their founding, the look would be far less shocking, in fact rather boring:

In the pre-Tiger-Cat years, though, the ‘35 Hamilton Tigers’ uniforms were very much like Pittsburg’s, as shown, here, copied from the TiCats’ Alumni site:

I always hated how the tiger heads look on the shoulders. They’re just too large. Looks awkward to me.

If I could change anything on the Helmets used to support the H uniforms, I would change the centre stripe hammers from white to “yellow” and the change the facemask to “yellow.”

Too small is my hate, regarding the jerseys of today, and recent years.
I say that about the Tiger, above the stripes. To my eye, it’s silly small!
