I have read all of the media articles available on this website, but I have not bothered to review all of the topics on this forum, so please forgive me if this has already been discussed elsewhere . . .
Have the Tiger-Cats released any details on the injury to Wayne Smith??
We were lucky that Pascal Cheron had returned to the active roster and was available to fill in, but I hope that we do not have to play more than a game or 2 without Smith (if he has to miss any time at all) . . .
I just want to remind everyone, that one of the reasons that the 'Cats were able in indulge in the luxury of using an IMPORT placekicker is because Ryan Donnelly is filling in for Damion Cook in the starting lineup. (by the way, props to Donnelly for a good game last night) But . . . is it possible that whenever either Damion Cook or Jamal Powell are ready to return to the lineup (or when Jonta Woodard returns from the NFL) that this will result in the return of Mr.Boreham to the lineup in order to shore up the O-Line?? Not inconceivable . . .
It looked like Cook lost his job last night. Cook hasn’t shown much all-season. With him hurt, and Donnelly with his impressive game. I expect 4 canadians on our O-Line for the rest of the season.
They haven't looked average. They haven't looked great. Corey Holmes is averaging 7.1 yards per carry. With numbers like that you can't say they look average. Ranek is just not producing, and he shouldn't be playing right now.

Apparently TSN said it was a high sprain (not sure of what) and wasnt too serious. Possibly a week or 2.

Its gonna depend on Myers. If Myers does well they arent gonna pull him for ratio concerns. If he kicks 50% over the next 3 weeks then sure, put Boreham back in. But i dont buy into this theory that these other players will influence who starts at kicker.
Turn it around, Maybe Cook will be gone and Myers will start.
I think that starting American O-linemen is a larger issue for the ratio than the kicker. The fact is that the Cats hve several Canadian O-linemen sitting on the sidelines while the Americans underachieve. Not sure that I buy into the need for big slow imports in the Canadian rules game.
Since the original post, I have learned that Wayne Smith has a sprained right ankle. But there was no indication of how serious it is, nor how long he will be out of the lineup . . . but at least its not a knee !!!
With regard to Turbo's response, I have to laugh at his comment about "big slow imports" referring to Damion Cook, because his replacement, Ryan Donnelly, is an undersized, slow non-import. Don't get me wrong, I love Donnelly's grit and determination, because most of the time that he steps on the field he is battling someone stronger and faster than him. He gets the job done with his tough as nails work ethic, more times than not . . . I don't know him personally, but I believe he is truly an over-achiever!!
