Import running back

STE averages 6 yards per carry last year. Thats pretty good for a tailback, he can also catch the ball and Masoli said that he loves how he blocks in pass protection.

Let’s reserve judgement until after a couple of real games.

Pre-season is a just a vanilla offence with rookies and backups playing.

I’m cautiously optimistic that Sean Thomas-Erlington will do the job at RB and prove his naysayers wrong. He looked good last year when he played.

Marcus Tucker has good speed. Bralon Addison and Mike Jones are fast.
No problems whatsoever on the receiving core.
June Jones wanted small fast guys.
Condell wants a mix. Looks like we have a mix.

I remember the story of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin calling a players mom on Mothers Day to say that he was going to make the roster. It was Marcus Tucker.

I’d say STE fared pretty damn well.

11 carries for 68 yards - 1 carry for 19 yards, and a 6.2 YPC average. That’s nothing to sneeze at in the CFL.

STE was great! However, I’m worried about the backup, Bennett, who only “gained” negative yards. I know it’s early, but this doesn’t bode well for our running game.

To be fair, he did not have any holes to run through

I thought Tucker really stood out tonight.

Great heart on special teams. First guy downfield to make the tackle more than once.

And got open when given the chance at receiver.

I notice that all these concerned people have nothing to say about STE’s great performance last night.

What I’m worried about is Sean Thomas-Erlington’s status for next week’s game against the Argonauts.

:frowning:

Sure CFF, I was concerned but Sean TE had an excellent game last night … better yards per attempt than Powell, an American. There will always be doubts and worries being a Cats’ fan. Nobody’s perfect and neither is his team.

I was referring to Alex Green being let go, not Whitlock.

14 rushing attempts in a win. Looks like the Condell/Austin offense is officially back.

Should we be worried?

Only if you’re of the “we never run the ball, why don’t we have a running game, we don’t throw enough screens, we are too predictable” crowd.

Only you can really answer if you should be worried.

noticing things again?

Once again… the STE doubters are silent.

In fairness … the OP keeps getting banned
