Would you have made the decision to release Glenn, fire your head coach and bring in Fantuz and Burris, Gigure ect...
The Ticats goal when they overhauled their offense/coaching staff was to finally climb over the hill of mediocrity (9-9, 8-10) and now sitting at 5-10 they'll be lucky to even make the playoffs let alone reach a decent record (Edmonton probably crossing over). I'll admit I fell into the off season hype I had this team going 11-7 and taking the divison! So my question is, were all these offseason changes worth it? and if you were in charge would you have kept the old regime or will this pay off in the long run (couple years down the road)
I agree. The Ti-Cats blew it up in the off-season when they just needed a tweek. Injuries have been a part of it, but which team hasn't been hit by the injury bug? To me, their biggest problem is the D-line. No pressure, and that causes a chain reaction.
This season should have been the make-or-break year for the Bellefeuille-Glenn team, not last year. This year, let them try to build off last year's East Final appearance and see if they can get the team to the Grey Cup. If they couldn't, then four years is enough time to decide to move on. Also, next year is Hamilton's nomad season and I have to believe most Tiger-Cat fans would have been OK with a team that didn't win a lot of games because of the unusual situation. But this season was supposed to be the year to win a championship and it looks like they won't even make the playoffs.
