And with the win in Edmonton, it looks like Calgary will be back on top next week. Lots of flipping and flopping.

If the playoffs were to start today, Calgary would be back on top. Go horsie!
how come in your scenerios, its always the 2 first place in the cup. How often is that not the case?
If Hamilton hadn’t lost both games to Winnipeg, they’d have won the east in this formula. If BC had beaten Calgary in Week 2 they’d have won the west. It can happen.
See, BC is third, if the playoffs started today they would visit 2nd Edmonton. The season series is plit 1-1, so then it falls to aggregate - Edmonton won by 16, then BC won by 35, so BC wins by aggregate. Then BC would visit Calgary, and head to head Calgary has won the only meeting so far. If BC beats Calgary next week we could have a massive shakeup in the West.
In the East, Hamilton drops to third so if the playoffs started today they would visit Montreal. But Hamilton leads the season series 2-1 so the prediction says Hamilton. Then the Cats would have to visit Winnipeg but they’ve lost twice to the Bombers so the Bombers win. Until the Als play Hamilton again this scenario can’t really change.
And again, it’s totally meaningless. Just fun and to make you go hmmmm …
but if bc had danny mac and darren flutie then it would upset the whole applecart
I wonder, can you apply this to the 94 final standings?
Yes, but I have to have all the regular season game results to determine the head to head matchups.

If the playoffs were to start today, Montreal would beat the Lions at BC Place.
I think the Lions will win the Grey Cup should be an exciting game at BC Place
The last four games will be interesting in deciding the playoffs in the East.
Bombers have Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto and Calgary left.
Als have Hamilton, Winnipeg, Calgary and BC.
Obviously the East will be decided by who wins in the Mtl vs Wpg game. The game is in Wpg, Pierce is back in the lineup and Garrett is doing well ... we've got a real good chance to finish on top. Calvillo doesn't play as well under pressure and Wpg and BC are at the top of the sacks list.
So I'm betting Wpg will win three of four and Mtl will only win two of the four.
Who would win today? Well, Winnipeg ... obviously :rockin:
Some catching up to do ...

If the playoffs were to start today WINNIPEG would defeat BC for the Grey Cup Championship.
SWAG! SWAG! SWAG!
You see, now that the Bombers won that rubber match this week with Montreal by a point, they have clinched tiebreak over both Montreal and Hamilton, and since Toronto is eliminated, no matter what the final order of the top 3 shakes out to be, Winnipeg will beat all comers. So WINNIPEG has clinched the East as far as this lttle math formula goes.
As for the West, BC holds tiebreak against all other West teams, BUT they have not clinched against the Eskimos yet. This week will decide this. The esks need to win by 29 points to win the tiebreak outright. A 28 point win - well I haven't delved that far into the tiebreak yet (although it is in the opening post of this thread). Anything less and BC will beat all comers in the West regardless of the order of finish. Edmonton of course, also holds tiebreak over Calgary, so they can't win a matchup in this formula.
So that means, that barring a huge rout of BC this week by the Esks, Winnipeg will beat BC for the Grey Cup for the remainder of the season, since the Bombers swept the Lions head-to-head this year. If said rout does occur though, EDMONTON will beat Winnipeg, since they have a 2 point edge in aggregate against the blue and gold.
