Just curious what people think. I know I would.
Hard to detest them more...but I'd find a way.
No...WIth the way MLSE handled the Maple Leafs and the Raptors, we'd never finish in last place ever again.
MLSE could probably find a way to make the Argos make a ton of money. The could make everyone in the lower bowl buy Argo season tix just like they do for the Raptors.
I could see them throwing a lot of money at the situation. The kool thing for them is that it could be the only team that they own with a good chance of winning a league championship.
The TFC need a tie tonite to win the Canadian Championship but they don't have a chance in MLS.
That makes 2 of us.
Answer: Impossible.
:D :D :DOski Wee Wee,
Yeah, it's Toronto and the Argos, whoever owns them it's still the same, Toronto and the Argos.
I will always detest the Argos but Winnipeg is running a close second of late.
And why would that be, diesel?
Lots of Cat fans had a major hate on for Winnipeg back in the late 50s and early 60s, with Bud Grant vs. Jim Trimble, but lately, other than the Moreno trade mess, there hasn't been anything in particular controversial between the two teams............and Obie got some measure of revenge by calling Kelly's bluff, not trading any asset for Kevin Glenn, and then ending up with Glenn anyway as a free agent..........not to mention the end-around with Saskatchewan to get Goodspeed.
As a die hard Argo fan for the past 29 years, I think I would have to consider finding a new team to cheer, probably Ottawa if they ever come back. I just can't stand MLSE.
Perish the thought of those suits ever owning the Double Blue....
I'm a Leafs fan and I hate the corporation
I don’t know that I could hate them any more than I do without it being considered unhealthy
Me too, AKT. But this current process is really, really testing my tolerance. I’ve given a lot of emotional energy and merchandise dollars to this team, and I feel they couldn’t care less. In my entire life, I’ve been able to see less than 10 games live. Yet, they want to ‘protect’ their market from another from another team providing a product to in-waiting customers.
Not too mention that they haven’t even been to the finals since long before I was born. In my opinion, my attachement to this team peaked during the Gilmour run in the early '90’s.
The moment Hamilton gets an NHL team, my Leafs jersey goes up in flames.
For now, I’ll just channel my energies booing the Argos.
No, I don’t think I could possibly dislike the blue team any more than I do. Unless, of course, they suddenly became affiliated with the Stamps for some strange reason.
Not quite true, Jack. Back in the 50’s and 60’s we didn’t hate Winnipeg. Those were different days. The rivalry between Trimble and Grant was real and deep, but it was respectful. We enjoyed the calibre of play and the rivalry, but again, it was with respect for a worthy opponent.
Now, the Argos…that was pure hate, always was, always will be.
Well, since I'm a HABS fan, what do YOU think?
