I wonder if it would be possible to find out

for as far back as they could go, I would like to know for back to back series, what percentage were split. I would expect it to be very high, maybe at least in the 70s

Could be a Question for Glen Suitor or Duane Forde to find the percentage, then again your answer I'd say may be close.

If I am right, it is why I dont like these back to back games. They usually dont resolve anything.

OTOH - if one team is temp disadvantaged due to a temp injury to a major player, then they could lose twice even though they are at least as good as the other team the rest of the year.

Either way, it sucks.

Obviously this isn't all-time but.....

In 2009, there were Seven Home and Home series'.
5 were split and 2 were swept.

In 2008, there were Ten.
7 were split and 3 were swept.

In 2007, there were thirteen.
6 were split and 7 were swept. :o

In 2006, there were twelve.
7 were split and 5 were swept

That's as far back as i went.

I appreciate this info you have supplied. I am surprised at 2006 and 2007, but I suspect they were less common years.

I am surprised at the variance in the number of series per yr.
