One could say the same for all fans, but in Toronto the argos are a super tough sell.
I am thinking if the argos ever win the cup again, all their season ticked holders should get rings as well for their continued support in the face of overwhelming adversity
The owners should take a page out of Amar Doman’s book. The Lions were like your posts above being in a depressed market probably for the last 5 to 10 years. At this moment they have competition from the Whitecaps, the baseball “C’s” (if your not from lower mainland, believe me this is competition), the Canucks starting to ramp up, SeaHawks season is upon us. But instead of the same ole same ole the Lions this season have market the hell out of the team. Attendance is up roughly 25% (that figure is before the 24,000 plus at Fridays game). I doubt the Lions in the past many years have seen a 35,000 and 24,000 game in probably the better part of 10 years. People around the city are aware of Lions. Doman has change the thinking from game day to game event day. The CFL is a great game but you have to let your market know your alive and have something to offer. I believe Toronto can be a great economic productive franchise, but it takes work and not sitting on your Fanny expecting the fans to come to you.
