Well........with only 3 short months away, till our CFL exhibition season kicks off ( I can hardly wait!) I need to apologize for some of my comments made, last year.
What with heading back to Empire Stadium last year ( I will always call it that.......Empire Field?.....WTF? lol) and having such high expectations of revisiting my past "Youth" and my history at Empire.......having gone their with my own Dad and Mom who had seasons tickets for many many years......to having played their myself.....to now being able to share that "Outdoor" experience with my own Son......I was rather hard on the Lions, for not being better organized and prepared to handle all the complaints in regards to the blocked views, caused by the Vertical posts supporting the roof etc....I was continually putting down the CFL product and the CFL game itself ( in spite of the fact, that I was now a Season ticket holder again) and I was always promoting the NFL game and their superior more talented players.
Well.........I have to say, that I am actually really Sorry for those comments.
I can not say enough good things about how the Lions, .......and how they did every thing in their power, to make us Happy....by letting us try out various seats, until we were satisfied with our unobstructed new seats.
I'm sure........that they were really close, to putting out a Contract Hit on "me" and having me Wacked! lol
So......a Big Thanks to the Lions!
Yup.........in spite of the fact, that our year at Empire started out on a bleek note, and once we could actually see the field and see the Lions play.......we were begging the Lions front office, to move us back to our original seats.......so that we didn't have to watch Casey and that Offensive line of ours.
And.......""Offensive" they were......to watch.....that is! LOL
But.......you known what?........in spite of the team not being every good, for the first half of the season........we still LOVED going to every game.
Win or Lose........it was Fun and entertaining to be at Empire again.
Ya.........Wally proved us all wrong, about him and JC ( well....the jury is still out on JC! LOL) and from opening day till that last game of the season........we LOVED going to every game......and we are counting down the months and the day.......until we are back at Empire Stadium again.
I still think........( My own opinion) that the NFL, is a better product......but......it is not Fair, to compare the two and I apoligize for that.
The CFL is the CFL........and I have gained a new love and respect. for the league, for the players, for the coaches and for the game.
I now wear my Lions baseball cap, at work every day! LOL
Just wanted to say.........Sorry for my past vents and comments.....and so very looking forward to the 2011 season.......Win or Lose!
Hey.......question for you guys........Do our Grey Cup tickets, seem to be a little high......at $250 each or is that the going rate now?
We have the option to pick up an additional 4 tickets at $300 each.....and we just wondering, if we should do it or not?
What do you think?
Can hardly wait for June to come around.
PS..........We are season ticket holders for the Canucks as well, and I am sure that we will see a Grey Cup back in this town, long before we ever see the Stanley Cup! LOL
