Even if he does do well in the first half (which is a crapshoot in and of itself), he can’t keep it up through the second … Even in the Cup in 2001, his 2nd half was nothing to write home about.
I believe the main mistake of Saskatchewan yesterday was to let go the run when they were down by a few TDs. Crandell wasn't terrible. He could have get something going had he been helped by the run.
I know it is common thinking that you stop relying on the run when you are down by this much, but a team like Saskatchewan, who's most dangerous threats are runners, should stay involved.
Speaking of runners... what is everyone's take on Kenton Keith? IMHO, I believe we have seen enough this year to confirm Corey Holmes in the starting job. Keith has such an average season so far. And Holmes is flamboyant. I wouldn't hesitate much would I be Barrett.

I don’t think KK is all to blame for his average season. From what I’ve heard, they’ve been giving him almost the same play every time - last night sounded like a perfect example. Run it up the middle. Run it up the middle. Run it up the middle. It’s hard to fool anyone when they know you’re going to …run it up the middle. Blame that on the OC?
That being said, Corey Holmes has definitely shown himself to be a first-rate runner. I don’t think it would be the end of the world if they only had him - but I still think KK is really good. I’ve been frustrated with the 'Riders game plan, and how they seem to make such poor use of their weapons.

I beleive that the Riders will jump out of thier slump soon here. Paul McCallum is now out of his from the begginning of the season. Once all of the injured layers are healthy they are a totally different team. They just throw the ball up to Richardson and Thurman, nice catches last night.

i hate the roughriders but i gotta admitt Nealon Greene is good ppl make him sound like he is the worst in the league mean while he is one of the best.

You are all forgetting the Riders were 4-8 last year before Booris turned it around and he played as bad Greene is now..... Major Difference we all knew Smilin Hank had it in Him, over 4000 yards in his first season before bolting to the NFL, the same cannot be said about Greene.. when does he ever pass over 300 yards?
If Barrett refuses to start Crandell and stick with Greene its gonna be along season.
They are both bums, and KK is a pussy. You run the ball up the middle so that the linebackers cheat up to the line, expecting it, which opens up the middle of the field for the pass, its called play action and has been around since the dawn of football. The problem is KK is a whiner and pussy who doesnt want to pound the ball up the middle because it hurts, and Nealon and Crandel are crap.

There are definatley worse QB's. Depends on what aspect of Nealon's game you are analyzing.
He's a phenomenal rusher, when he gets the chance - he just doesn't always get the chance. When he's on the top of his rushing game, I wouldn't trade him for anyone.
