With teams no longer attempting FGs because of the run back threat they need to modify the rule. Eliminate the single point on a missed FG, award 4 points for a FG longer than 50 yards.

what they should do is find a way to suspend goalposts in the air, so they don’t impede goal line plays

I’d like to them to adopt holographic goalposts along with a chip in the ball which would sense when crossing the goal line or is within the goalposts to score a FG.

Another idea is project a holographic 5-yd Halo around the punt returners. If a defender broached the 5-yd zone when the returner caught the ball, a horn would sound and a penalty called.

revamped ala aussie rules football.

PK thru the middle two for 3 pts, next 2 for 2 pts and outside two for 1 point.

1 pt convert must go thru middle 2 so that it is not so automatic

kick thru the uprights on kick offs and score 5,4,3 pts. This would be more applicable in NFL but it could be applicable on penalties that are applied to kick offs in CFL
