HOT! HOT! HOT!

Thank whatever for the SW breeze..now if only we can just knock down the east side of the stadium that will be blocking us westeners from our deserved wind!!

Austin and the Cats like it HOT, this will be like playing in the Southern USA for many Tiger-Cat players who are from the Southern States and played NCAA football in that area and coach Austin's days at Ole Miss in Oxford Mississippi as a player and a coach prior to Cornell.

Nice, Hot and sunny weather the way it should be for football, remember folks it's still summer no matter if the Toronto fans think that summer ends with the CNE closing, instead of Sept 20th? ARBLOWS!!

So players drink lots of Gatorade and water, keep hydrated boys and keep the cramps away and lets pull out a big Tiger-Cat victory in the Labour Day Classic.

GO CATS GO!!!

Who needs a breeze when there’s lottsa cold beer! :smiley:

Good Point,

But, lets take a cup of fresh water, sitting in 1 ATM at sea level, ambient temperature is +3C with a 50km/hr sustained wind making it feel like -5C, does that cup of fresh water freeze? No.

On an extreme, that same cup of water, sitting in a hot hot futuristic environment where surface temps are +90C, @ 1ATM at sea level, ~65% humidity, making the temperature outside feel like +105C, does that cup of fresh water boil? No.

Point is, how much of wind chill, humidex charts, real feels, jumping jack flashes etc. are all human imagination to boost rating at the weather network? Who knows. I’m not an expert in meteorology, but I do question their real feel humidex charts at times.

Yes It will be stinking hot on that field turf though, hope the players load up on the plumbs and oranges during the game for them electrolytes, or we could see some bad cramping :expressionless: God Bless, hope all the players can stay healthy :rockin:

Last 14 LDC's high temperature during game

2014 = 27.4
2012 = 22.2
2011 = 16.6
2010 = 23.3
2009 = 20.2
2008 = 21.9
2007 = 29.1
2006 = 20.5
2005 = 21.4
2004 = 27.3
2003 = 18.5
2002 = 23.2
2001 = 25.1
2000 = 17.9

Give me anywhere in the 19-23 degree range and im a happy camper. Tomorrow will be torture!

The Cats will wear their alternate grey unis.

That wont help much

The hottest Labour Day game on record was Sept.3/1973. against the B.C. Lions in an evening game. Game time temperature was 90 degrees F or 32 C with a humidex reading of 99 degrees F or 37 C. I remember the game very well. The Ticats were down 21-0 on three touchdown runs by Lions running back Lou Harris but the 'Cats stormed back with Garney Henley leading the way with three touchdowns of his own to give the 'Cats a 44-24 victory.

Feels like is not science,
Wind chill & humidex mean nothing.
