TICATS 2015 HOME OPENER PRESENTED BY BELAIRDIRECT NEARING SELLOUT

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday that less than 700 tickets remain for their home-opener against the Toronto Argonauts on Monday, August 3 at Tim Hortons Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and tickets may be secured by visiting Ticats.ca or calling 905-547-CATS (2287).

The Tiger-Cats have opened the season 2-2 following Sunday night’s 31-21 victory in Saskatchewan. They were undefeated in seven regular season and playoff contests at Tim Hortons Field last season. The club has a number of special events planned for next Monday’s home-opener, presented by Belairdirect, including:

ALL-TIME GREAT TIGER-CATS IN ATTENDANCE

There will be numerous Hall of Fame and other Tiger-Cats legends on hand who will partake in a pregame autograph session and the game’s opening ceremonies. Fans can celebrate the storied careers of the likes of Joe Montford, Less Browne, Angelo Mosca, Garney Henley, Earl Winfield, Grover Covington, Jamall Johnson, Markeith Knowlton, Dave Hack, Rob Hitchcock, Mike Morreale, and Paul Osbaldiston among others.

UNVEILING OF THE STEAM WHISTLE

The Tiger-Cats will unveil a new 15-foot tall steam whistle located in the Northeast fan terrace that will signal the start of the game, touchdowns and game victories. The steam whistle is a tribute to the history of Hamilton and in honour of TigerTown, the team’s rabid fans who make Tim Hortons Field the strongest home field advantage in the Canadian Football League.

TICATS TV IN-STADIUM PANEL

North America’s first in-stadium studio panel show, Ticats TV Live presented by Baffin, will be enhanced this season to provide more behind-the-scenes access and information than ever before. Former Ticats stars and current analysts Paul Osbaldiston and Mike Morreale, along with host Mia Gordon, will deliver comprehensive coverage at all home games. The panel will be located in the Pioneer Energy Zone at Tim Hortons Field, where fans are invited to view the panel stage close up and be part of the excitement.

FINDLAY FAMILY AREA

Located on the First Concourse Level at the Northwest end of Tim Hortons Field, the Findlay Family Area includes new youth activations like the Cub Club presented by Lou’s Barbeque Co., and stations for face painting, sign-making, and a photo area featuring life-sized player mannequins.

Tim Hortons Field will feature an expanded suite of food products available at concessions throughout the stadium, courtesy of Levy Restaurants. New featured offerings include the Locke Street burger, Steel Town poutine, pulled pork sandwich, fried chicken and chipotle sandwich with blue cheese slaw, pastrami on rye, and Pinty’s new TigerTown Sauce.
