The .2 seconds could have been burned easily if they would have ran the ball a couple more times. 5 carries for McClendon!? As an Eskimo fan, I was sitting in my living room the whole 3rd quarter yelling "HAND THE BALL OFF!". Lol, he did a great job with his first couple carries, the 10 yard ran, where he was running outside then cut back in to the hole, and just rambled 10 yards. That was really good. You have to give your running back more than 5 carries a game. He should be getting anywhere from 17-23 carries a game.
I agree with you there man. We need a running game to offset the passing game. If we don't find one soon we are going to become easier and easier to defend as the year goes on.
I heard (or read) somewhere that Reggie White was back in town, probably practice roster. We may see him at some point as well. I'm not as convinced as you that McClendon can be successful lugging it out of the backfield. There is no question however that he is dangerous as a reciever swinging out.

The only reason I brought this topic up was that as I watched the game end that way, I was amazed that nothing was said by the commentators. So I let it go.
But a few days later I heard Jock Climie (Ottawa boy and ex- Alouette, and of course Ottawa Rough Rider) on The Team1200 Sports radio station here in Ottawa bring up this issue, sarcastically calling it “Home Field Advantage in this case”.
So, I guess we Rens fans will just have to watch the all the asses on the Alouettes team.

Boy if I could have gotten a dollar everytime I heard that comment. Every year the BC play by play guys mention that same fact. Holidaying in Alberta, I've heard both Edmonton and Calgary Play by Play guys bring it up.
