I’m think the Riders gave up way too much. Even if you guys get Joseph, you lost way too much for him. Him and Holmes would have made for a hell of an impressive QB option attack. Would have made a solid back field. But with all you guys lost for him was sad. He’s not bad for a young QB, but not that damn good. I would have kept Holmes and picked Brad Banks if it came down to it. Hope it works out for ya though!

I would have been happier with Crandell under center and Holmes behind him than Joseph coming over. . . Why couldn't they have put up a lineman for him? Other than Makowsky of course. . .

You posters keep talking about giving less of a player up for the number 1 pick. Hamilton would not have gone for anyone other than Holmes or Hunt. You want to give a lineman up but not Makowsky, you want to give keith up instead of Holmes. Yah that would have been great if Hamilton would have went for those offers.
To get Joseph we had to give Hamilton something of value and it ended being Holmes. Yes we lost a great player but it is going to help our offence in the long run.

Saskatchewan gave up too much in this deal. Although Joseph is a more talented QB, im not sure by how much. I must say that Keith should appreciate the move that Shivers made, by becoming a team player rather than a cancer in the dressing room. If the Riders manage to get Armstead as well , then they will have done OK in this draft.
there is one thing rider fans do not understand. most teams are not interested in your players with a few notable exceptions, holmes, maybe hunt, nate davis would get some takers as would dominguez. you olinemen with the exception of thomas are also intriguing. i will even throw shultz in the mix. other than that nothing really.you can offer kk all you wnt but noone wants him.

Hamilton does not want Keith and that is why we never traded him. They wanted Holmes for the number 1 pick and that's who we had to give up to get Joseph.
Personnally , I think sask gave a lot for Joseph . Hamilton got the edge in this trade in my opinion .
But let's not forget that things are rarelly going the way it's planned , let's see what will happen .

I just hope we take Joseph, get Greene outta here, and pick up a new receiver like armstrong, that would boost season ticket sales. I think that K.K is just as good as Corey Holmes, so now all we needed was a strong receiving core!

...I think Sask. got fleeced....Kerry Joseph is just another average qb. ...going to be teamed up with a couple of other average qbs. If I were a rider fan I would be scratching my head on this one :lol:
Really I think it was a good trade. They filled two positions they needed a change at. KJ gives thme a better QB and a good receiver. The problem being is KJ much of an upgrade to what they have. After all the Gades were dead last. He does have flashes of greatness but flashes. But really the Riders needed this and I think it just might work for them. Good luck!
