Hitch has signed with the Eskimos. Auggie pulled a hamstring and they needed an experienced LB who can step right in.
He will probably dress for this weekend. Good for him.
Oh oh , this thread will be Dejardins fault now to !!!!
Go Hitch!!! BOOO Edmonton!
wait.... he came out of retirement to sign with the eski-schmoes?
i'm so lost and confused... =(
Go Hitch!!! can someone confirm this?
He did? Well I am glad showed the organization up and jumped to a winner!

Not sure Hitch would go out west to a team out of the playoffs.
Need a link to confirm!!
They already have Auggie, Goss, Cheatwood, Bakker, Kamau, Comiskey.
Thinking thats why they look as bad as us!!
Yes, this is true.
Rob departed this morning, at 7:30 am, and it currently en route to Edmonton.
While I can’t provide a link at this time, I do hope that my reputation is good enough to support this.
As for retirement… Rob (and Mike) didn’t retire, per se. They were released. Rob is certainly eligible (and might I add capable) to play.
Rob is a great guy. Truly, a first class individual and I hope he kicks butt in Edmonton.
I'm not meaning to be petty here, but I'm pretty disappointed in Rob. I know he struggled with how he left, but now, he will not have retired as a Tabbie...something that should have happened. And all the best to him...
We got Rob again.

You're right, he should have retired as a Ticat. Not being able was not his doing. Wish him all the best.
Rob thinks he still has "Game" and can contribute!
So Do I! We will find out!
I wish him well.
Good for Rob. I hope he does well.
Atta Boy Hitch! I hope you have a career game against us! And when you do, look up at the press box, smile and wave. Just sad that what might be you actual last game here will be in the wrong colours.
Never retired apparently.
This is as good a situation as he could've gotten. I don't think he'd be up to playing a whole season plus playoffs but this way he has just 6 games left if they go all the way. I think he can do that if the Esks go that far. More poweer to him.
An Argo-Cat fan
If it's true, I hope when he comes to town he causes a fumble and returns it for a touchdown and does his own OSKEE WEE WEE in the endzone as well!
Making it a cheek to cheek slap in the face to our lousy management team.
GO ROB !
now watch him play one of the best games of his career against us (just a prediction)
Go Hitch!
Hitchcock On The Verge Of Inking With The Eskimos
TSN.ca Staff 10/15/2007 1:50:24 PM
Pending a physical, Hitchcock will sign a contract with Edmonton to play out the remainder of the season. With a depleting defensive core, the Eskimos
contacted Hitchcock about potentially playing
in the last game of the seasonbut the safety chose to play out the season
and could see action this Saturday
when the Eskimos visit Vancouver.
Guess who the Esks play the last game of the season
Hint: the game will be played in Hamilton.
Hmmmm? another player who the Ticats let go.
Is this writer saying that the Esks
wanted Hitchcock to sign up with them
for just the last game of the season?
If so, somebody else is trying to embarass Hamilton.
That is a big time insult to Hitchcock because what you’re saying is he never gave 100% all the time.
The guy will go full out and give it everything he has on every play against any team.
Just off the press...Marcel Dangerdan is trying to put a trade together with Edmonton. Dyakoski and Moreno for Hitchcock. Apparently Moreno will want too much money next year.
