Man I sure hope Obie has HickMan coming back to the Hammer. The fans would be very disappointed if he wasn't.

Is Hickman not still under contract to the Colts?

Re: Drew, Hickman is heading back to the CFL. Plus Ham didn't place anybody in the top twenty CFL player list, so we need him badly. Good fans.

I think catfish bit the hook, in a Scratching Post article's title, the wrong way. It's a story about Bruce Davis titled "Davis Gets Help from his Dad and former teammate Hickman on his way to the CFL."

You misread that headline. It was about Bruce Davis and how his father and Hickman helped Davis get to the CFL. Hickman is still with the Colts (at least for the time being).

If so catfish is very sorry and disappointed.

8) NFL rosters have to be cut down by 9pm tonight.
Hickman is still with the Colts, but according to Colt reporters, he is one of several players who are on the bubble !!
I would imagine he will either be released, or put on their practice roster. He is listed as a linebacker with Indy.

If it makes you feel any better, I read it the same way when I saw the headline (and got VERY excited). Also, we should know soon whether Hickman will be coming back to the CFL. Final NFL cutdowns are this weekend, I believe.

Today is cutdown day in the NFL.

Don't hold your breath on Thigpen, as the Dolphins have already cut three other receivers, one of which was a kick returner.

I expect Hickman to get cut. He didn't look very impressive at all in the two pre-season games he played in. I have no idea on Moe Petrus' chances of making the Buccaneers.

This is such a strange time of the year. We wish all our now ex-TiCats well at NFL camps, but being selfish we also hope they return. If Hickman was to return maybe he and his college buddy would revive our pass rush.

With Davis being a friend and former teammate perhaps that will encourage Hickman to return to Hamilton. We can only hope

I heard a report from one of the dolphin beat guys and he said he didn't expect thiggy to make the team but he could get a pr spot.

Drew Edwards ?@scratchingpost
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut OL Moe Petrus. Was drafted by #Ticats 10th overall in 2010 #CFL draft and they retain his rights.

certainly good news...Hage is still out and in the twilight of his career so Petrus will be a nice transition if he passes the 10 day NFL window.

Found this:

Their beat writer has Jerrell Freeman on the roster, but not Hickman. Would suck for him if he doesn't make it, but would love to have him back. Question is, who gets released to make room for him? Cobourne?

Also read something by Dolphins' beat writer indicating Thigpen will make their team.

Sorry, went looking for the Dolphins link:

* Source says the Dolphins will be KEEPING former CFL star Marcus Thigpen, who can play as a tailback, slot receiver and kickoff returner. He will compete with Lamar Miller to be the third running back behind Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas.

With Pat Angerer injured, Jerrell Freeman might be starting for the Colts.

Hickman is eligible to sign with any CFL team if he gets cut, so hopefully we have the cap room to bring him in.

We’ll have room if Cobourne gets released.

Colts just made their final cuts and Hickman was not among them.

Looks like Hickman made the roster, congrats all the best!!
