reciever is going to be an amazing battle i think... who will be the starting four? or three... depending on how many canadians we start... im sure there will be 4 imp wrs on the starting roster at all times esp if we plan on using a 6 reciever set at any point, unless someone like watson or hargreaves really has a breakout.. assuming bowman and edwards both make it... there are realistically two more active roster spots... maybe 3 if one doubles as a kr/pr... so 2 maybe 3 spots for hall, franklin, jeffers harris, shelton, strickland, and davis... with one likely being a practice roster player as well.... hard to pick which will be cut right now.. cant wait for camp

I like the imports we have and have brought in as well ----- Bowman, Edwards, Hall, Franklin, Jeffers-Harris, Strickland, Davis, Shelton ---- anyone's guess? I will only go as far as saying Bowman is a guarantee!!

Non Imports ---- Hargreaves, Arthur, McHenry, Ralph, Ionnides ---- No guarantees here either, one would think Ralph, Hargreaves and Arthur have the inside track? We will soon see :cowboy:

Not sure how many Import/non import spots are available on the roster, but will absolutely be a competetive group, lots of speed, size and talent this year, i cannot even begin to try and guess who makes the team outside of Bowman!!

Anyone who even tries to guess is sure to be in for a surprise!!

well johnny quinn from the riders was released today, is familliar with lapos offence… wonder if theres a chance we sign him and remove someone like davis.

also dont forget about watson and our draft picks who apparently have been signed just not announced yet.

what im still waiting for is some db signings. we seem awfully thin in that area.

Not to defend the Cats troll, but the past does matter to some extent. If the past means nothing, why does everyone have the Argos finishing at 3-15 in the league basement? The past doesn’t equal the future, but teams that have been struggling for some years will have to prove that they’ve overcome their past.

All that being said, I think the 2010 Bombers are going to surprise a lot of people. With a real HC, an offensive playbook with more than six plays in it and not written in crayon, and a legitimate no. 1 QB in Buck Pierce (providing he can remain healthy), Winnipeg has as good a chance as any other team at making the playoffs.

i guess for a team like the argos why so many are having them finish 3-15 or whatever is because they dont have a quarterback with cfl experience.

if you look at the teams throughout the league

bc has cfl experienced qb's in printers,jackson and to an extent lulay cuz he did manage to play and play well last season.
edmonton has ray and mass, with zabransky who was on the roster last season.
calgary has burris and i dunno? not a good example actually :stuck_out_tongue:
sask again has durant who is cfl experienced and dinwiddie who has cfl experience

over in the east

the als have calvillo and mcpherson who have cfl experience
ham has glenn and porter and even tafralis.. all have cfl experience
wpg has piece and jyles who both have cfl experience. dimichelle was here last season also altho on the pr but that should help him.

then we get to toronto

they have bell who i dont think has thrown a cfl pass, and a bunch of nfl rejects who have yet to even throw a pre-season pass and brannigan who i hope turns out to be a good one but will need some time i think. they dont have a qb with cfl experience on their roster.

not saying toronto is gonna suck but... all signs point to them struggling. 7 of the 8 teams are a qb away from having a chance to go all the way.. toronto tho, needs more help than just qb.

who knows tho, maybe 1 of the nfl guys or brannigan come in and shock the world.
