Henry Burris - Man of the Match.

mediocrity has many faces, one of which wears #1. The pass to gigeure was the highlight of the night. Otherwise he was average at best. Took two sacks when he could have thrown it away? Pros know better. Sure, getting fantuz and stala back will improve his stats. which just goes to show that qb performance depends mainly on good receivers. Hank has plateaued out, time to develope for the future.

The Stats speak volumes

Passing: Henry Burris 26/32 362 YDS
Rushing: Henry Burris 6 CAR 47 YDS
Receiving: Bakari Grant 7 REC 101 YDS

Plus Hank took a sack rather than force a pass a couple of times
Veteran move

Hank is a Stud and has more seasons left in him for sure!

Yes, Burris was 26/32 362 YDS, and the majority of the incompletions were drops on the part of the receivers. He could easily have been 30/32 last night, over 400 yards, and the Ticats would have won going away instead of keeping us all in suspense...

I agree that its better to throw the ball away than lose yardage on a sack. Still, for all the trumpeting over the other heroes in the east (Ray and Calvillo), their team records so far this season are no better than Hamiltons. Calvillo has been seen lately showing signs of losing his cool, for the first couple of games not communicating with his OC (even ignoring him) and throwing his coaching staff under the bus in post game interviews, something rarely seen before.

Saskatchewan has gone through minimal change and their record reflects that. B.C., the same. It will take time for this team to bring the coaching staff, the playbook, the new players, and those in new positions (Knowlton and Johnson)to come together. A two week training camp doesn`t help.

Austin may be starting to get this group rowing as a team and in the right direction.

That’s one way of looking at it. We were screaming for him to throw the ball away and avoid the losses altogether. 7 sacks in total are way too many. Of course not all the blame goes to Burris, there’s shared blame be it , Walker sucking, O line, receivers not getting open, whatever the combo may be, but a good veteran QB also throws the ball away to avoid losses.

But aside from that, yes, Burris had a terrific game! No ints, and no fumbles! Sacks and all, he protected the ball which is more important, as Grover alludes to.

One other concern of mine was the gross inbalance in the offensive attack

9 runs by the RBs for a paltry 29 yards.

Burris made the other 45 offensive plays (32 passes, 7 sacks, 6 runs)

That inbalance managed to work against Winnipeg in and odd kinda game, but I think that attack needs to be much more balanced as the season progresses.
