Help #62 build a $50,000 playroom @ Mac Kids Hospital

The Pepsi Refresh Project - the Pepsi Brand's groundbreaking movement that will give away more than $1 million to fund Canadian ideas that foster positive social change -- has teamed up with The Canadian Football League to refresh Canada as part of an eight-team Pepsi Refresh Project - CFL Challenge.

Eight CFL players, each representing a different CFL team, will vie for a $50,000 Pepsi Refresh Project grant to support an idea that makes positive change in their communities. Starting today, Canadians can decide which player's cause wins the money by voting for their favourite idea at http://www.cfl.ca/PepsiRefresh. CFL Challenge voting closes on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10 am ET.

CFL players participating in the Challenge are: Jason Aragki, BC Lions in support of Camp Goodtimes; Patrick Kabongo, Edmonton Eskimos in support of Wellspring Edmonton; Wes Lysack, Calgary Stampeders in support of Canadian Cancer Society Patient Care Kits; Rob Bagg, Saskatchewan Roughriders in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada; Luke Fritz, Winnipeg Blue Bombers in support of Winnipeg Harvest and its "Hunger for Hope" program ; Andre Durie, Toronto Argonauts in support of Community Living Mississauga; Marwan Hage, Hamilton Tiger-Cats in support of McMaster Children's Hospital; Anthony Calvillo, Montreal Alouettes in support of The Cedars Cancer Institute.

"My idea is to help my community in Hamilton by supporting one of the biggest charitable organizations - McMaster Children's Hospital. With the help of Pepsi and your votes, I hope to construct a Hage's Heroes play room in the hospital. It will have all the things a kid could want, TVs, video game systems, board games, arts and crafts and of course, knowing me, a fully stocked fridge of snacks and drinks because nobody likes that hospital food!! So help me build a space for these kids that will truly bring a smile to their faces," said Hage.

C'mon Ticat fans !

Get voting !

I'm voting for Andre Durie and Community Living Mississauga. With the HHS "ABC" plan, they are changing Mac to a kids-only hospital anyway, so there will be lots of kid-friendly facilities available.

Community Living folks need the help, no matter where they live.

watch this and then VOTE !!

Thats awesome, I vote 2x a day everyday for the last month. So lets all do the same and so some love and support for this GREAT cause!!

Well, we're knocked out, although I can't really say I'm surprised, what with the riders. Either way, congrats, $2,000 I'm sure will still go a long way towards the play room.

Sorry he didn't win, but thanks to Marwan for all of his hard work. $2000 is great.

Luc Fritz of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers has won. Congratulations! It's for a good cause.

For sure!
