Head of Wada calls CFL irresponsible, undermines CIS efforts

Not a fan of Pound and he’s no longer there but complaining about a sanctioning/governing body is like complaining about government. They still make the rules.

Glen Constantine gave similar comments to French media and he’s turned down multiple CFL offers. Any other tinfoil theories hidding in there :stuck_out_tongue:

Is that a joke that Faulds is anywhere near a position of power and money as Constantine is with Laval? Night AND Day. Come on Hf, you should know better than to compare those 2.

Sure, more collaboration between the CIS and CFL should exist, fair enough. And Laval players have tested positive and had sanctions.

All the CFL has to do to modernize their drug policy is to fire employees who take drugs from their $51k to $100k jobs.

It is a little different for “other pro leagues” which suspend drugged players for a few games. Wada loves those leagues. Those players average $1 million to $3.5 million in salaries. So they’ll still be able to feed their family if they get suspended. CFL players average under $100k and often have to maintain two households during the season, sending as much money as they can back home to support their families. Suspending them for a first offence could mean their kids could go hungry. But I guess Wada doesn’t care about that.

Nobody condones the use of performance enhancing drugs. It’s great that MLB and NFL are totally clean now. Only the CFL should be criticized for doing counseling and testing for first offenders instead. As far as those “contracts” the drugged CIS players signed, they were all cut except one…who’s salary will likely be under $60k. Fire the bum don’t give him counseling.

So those players who maintain two homes can afford to do cycles of SRMs22 at $750.00 a month.

All BS excuses as far as I’m concerned. Nobody suggested they be fired but at MINIMUM a 6 to 9 game suspension without pay at the very minimum for a first offense.

Once the CFL chooses some sacrificial lambs for suspension, WADA will go around puffing their chest and say “hey, look at us, we made the CFL clean” and then onto the next guinea pig to make themselves look all powerful and mighty.

What a joke. Oh well, much of the world is really a joke anyways with how this world operates. Fortunately the good people do make life worth living though.
