I noticed TSN will be broadcasting a 1-hour pregame show preceding the Argos vs Esks playoff game. In previous years, I believe, they carried the regular NFL-hype pregame shows right up until the start of the CFL game. Some fans, including me, thought it was odd they had no CFL pregame show for the big playoff games?
Glad to see TSN is producing a CFL pregame this year...and will have another 30 minute preview show before the Riders vs Stamps game.
This decision could be in part due to the tremendous ratings TSN received for the Grey Cup pregame show last year. I think they averaged 2.4 million viewers over the length of the 8 hour show, which is an amazing number of eyeballs for that length of time.
It's about time. I have been saying this for the past 3 years. There's nothing more idiotic than having espn preview show for NFL games when TSN only carries Sunday Night Football.
I won't give TSN too much credit, because this should have been done years ago.
This makes sense. Put NFL Sunday Countdown on TSN2 and put a CFL pregame show on TSN. Probably should have done this a long time ago. Though, to be honest, I don't really give much of a crap about pregame shows. I don't usually watch them anyway.
Great job on the pre-game shows, but a little disappointing they cut to NFL pre-game show immediately following the final gun. Wouldn't have killed them to have at least a 5-10 min post game show. The ending to the Western Final was a great tool to sell the product for TSN.
