No personal attack AKT, just pointing out the facts. Porter will be remembered for being the nervous clumbsy quarterback who would spot the other team 20 pts. by the half.
He needs to go, he has a lousy attitude and he is not a team player. You can think otherwise that is your right, however his stats speak for themselves.
Doc
No personal attacks in the latest post. The one I told you to cool it there was. Whether we agree or not, and we most certainly don't, there is no reason to stoop to that level
No one has QB depth like BC. They lose their first three QBs and are still able to be competitive -- losing the past two games, but only on the last play of the game, against two pretty good teams. Not many other teams could say as much when starting their 4th-stringer.
I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that Printers is the best "4th string QB" that anyone on this board can recall.
And by the way, for those of you who love to slam Porter at every opportunity, I'm going to suggest an alternative. Try saying nothing. Just move on. You've all made your point - many, many times. This thread, for example, came nowhere near implying that Porter is better than Glenn. It started as a suggestion that maybe our team matches up well against our playoff rivals in one particular position. That's the kind of thing fans of the team might say. Couldn't you just let it slide without attacking a member of the team? Believe it or not, that's the classier thing to do.
The thread was started because you Porter fans suggested he may be better than Montreal’s, or Winnipeg’s second string Quarterbacks. I highly disagree. McPhearson is better, and most of the back up quarterbacks in the league are better than QP.
He is nothing but a choke artist. He likes to blame others for his short comings. Hardly the material for a team leader.
Sask. would have eaten him alive with the pass rush today, just like every other team he faced in the past mths.
The latest from Porter? He has been complaining about being under payed.
Maybe his short comings are why he was replaced at Boston College and every other team he has played for to date.

I just want to say Porter can be the future! The ticats are ateam and a team is never made of one guy, so let him grow and learn from the vets and aspire from the team spirit thats high right now!
I dont have a problem with Porter at all. I’m just not sure if either side will want to continue, Porter showed this year he’s not there yet so you can’t pay him starter money if he expect’s it or feels he’s arrived and can have a better situation elsewhere???
For most QB’s in this league it takes years and ideal conditions to become a “star” QB in the CFL. From an organisation POV well they will have to review their personel like any organisation and as they become more successful competition tends to increase at every position.
In the end it would have been al lot simpler for him if he had produced when called upon this season.
The purpose of this thread was NOT Glenn vs Porter. We have lost with both QB's, but more importantly we have WON with both guys starting and finishing a game. This is something that neither of our eastern rivals have done with their systems. To me, that is a great sign of our depth heading in to the playoff and how we don't have a single point of failure if our starter goes down. No other eastern team can say this...PERIOD!!
The guy got more chances than he should have, now he is whinning about money. He needs to sit back, enjoy the view from the side lines and learn something. Enough said!

Make no mistake about it, the reason why the Cats seem to have developed into a legit contender can be summed up in two words…Kevin and Glenn. Without him, the Cats would not have a hope in h… of making the post season.
There isn’t a team in ther east that has a snowball’s channce of winning the Grey Cup without their starter, or for that matter in the west.
Ticats have the best QB combo(trio) in the CFL, If the other teams don,t respect Porter then that will be to the TiCats advantage, with Porter taking the backup roll he now has the experience to produce when called upon(If he,s needed)
Sorry but even tho Glenn has made a difference the main reason is the offensive and defensive lines, particularly the defensive line. Doug Flutie could not have won the way we were giving up points
As for the chances of winning with a backup. I like Hamilton, BC, and Edmonton’s backups to manage a game if the need arises. The problem is that none of them can win the Grey Cup even with their starters so expecting the backups to win is sort of silly
And it really is funny how much you under credit kevin Glenn. He is the reason we are winning, he is the reason we are not down by 20 at half and he is the reason we will make the playoffs.
None of those teams can get there unless the better teams have bad days. Its possible but not a realistic expectation
BTW I give Kevin Glenn full marks, its just that he would be getting spanked if the rest of the team had continued their poor play. The offensive line is a much larger reason the offense has improved than Glenn. Besides Glenns best game of his career resulted in a loss. Would you like to blame Glenn for that lossÉ Not me. Its silly to blame everything on the QB just as its silly to give him all the credit. The fact is that every facet of the team is better now. QB is not even 50% of that
