Well Fairbanks did play a couple of seasons for us if that counts for anything .
Joe Zuger the player ignored again. And Bob Krouse too. Who are the clowns on the selection committee? Another CFL event to ignore.
Joe Zuger should have been in long time ago.
I suspect there is some politics involved, but cannot confirm.
Fairbanks was a remarkable oversight .
Nor is Zuger the quarterback. Or Zuger the DB.
Or Zuger the punter.
Or Zuger the Grey Cup MVP.
Or Zuger the 3 time Grey Cup champion as a player.
Or Zuger the Grey Cup champion general manager.
Or Zuger the 8 td passes in one game record holder.
Well, here is both a "thong" and a "song" - I wasn't sure it was a "slip" (lisp?) of the wrist on your part...
(I made it myself!)
All these years of completely ignoring Joe Zuger and even Bobby Krouse, just makes the CFL look so bush league !!!
Obviously they are waiting for them to die, and then make a big production out of it then to finally acknowledge them.....pathetic
The Canadian Football Hall of Fame is not part of the CFL.
It's process for choosing inductees, which you can read on the hall's website, is quite detailed. Nominations, in the Veteran Player category, for former players past their 25-year period of regular eligibility, are reviewed by a sub-committee before reaching the selection committee and I may be wrong, on this point, but I believe that no more than one Veteran Player is inducted in any year. Strong, detailed nominations are an important part of the process, and anyone can be a nominator.
A Saskatchewan member of the selection committee wrote about his involvement, this week:
The formula now for inductions seems is to quickly enshrine the recent star retirees and overlooked non- superstar but still deserving ones from the past.
In the past deserving star players had to wait longer.
Thanks. Now I can complete my Cheerleader uniform.
I gotta have it!
It would look really nice with your new Ti-Cat footwear .
